As a splinter cell enthusiast who grew up playing these games everyday why is everyone hating on Blacklist? I actually really enjoyed it, the only things that I didn't really like is that Michael Ironside wasn't in voicing Sam Fisher and that the game felt way too easy for my standards

Because it shouldn't have been a Splinter Cell game, IMO. The stupid action-time sequences in Conviction, the fact that Sam somehow is...younger? and far more limber than in earlier games, etc, ruined the feel of the games. Blacklist may be a good game, but it wasn't a good Splinter Cell game.
@STRING3R7 жыл бұрын
Probably because it feels a bit souless. I mean, it's a competent stealth game and a million times better than that piece of shit conviction. But it feels very bland. There's no cheeky banter between Lambert, Grim and Sam and the soundtrack is completely forgetable. Also yeah no Michael Ironside, that's like not having David Hayter as Snake.....oh wait.

@matthewv93453 жыл бұрын
@@Spartan-144 if they didn’t know what the fans adored, they would’ve chosen to put Conviction’s theme on the menu. Instead they chose Battery and put it behind the a fan reminiscent of the one on the first game’s cover art. They know what the fans want. They know we love CT, yet they won’t give us another proper splinter cell - they keep putting him in DLC or other shitty games. It’s kind of more of a middle finger to us, even if it is very nostalgic

yeah and today they mess things up pretty bad and every game is kind of trash since they want to please those peasents called "casuals" who don´t want to use their brains or be challenged by the game, but instead are willing to pay every Microtransaction available. Quite a shame, I remember the time where most devs put love in their games and quality. Bugs were very seldom and something like unfinished things did not exist at all. But seriously, 1 or 2 DLC for Chaos Theory would have been quite nice.

I played the original SC on Xbox years back but didn't play CT or PT. Later when DA came out I thought "Hey Splinter Cell! I fuckin' loved that shit!" Tried it and was kinda let down. I can't recall how far I got in that game but it was probably the 2/3rd mission lol. I did enjoy the MP a lot though, but the single player just wasn't the same. I recently starting getting back into SC again and busted out my old Xbox copy and finally completed it. Thought I'd get CT with the Steam Summer Sale coming up and I got it yesterday and all I can say is... I am blown away but how good it is honestly. The world feels so real. All the conversations between the NPCs, the interrogation chats (lol), the fluid animations of Sam... it's so polished and perfect. I did actually play CT but only on the DS, mainly just to mess around on multiplayer with my brother and hearing all this tracks again during my PC playthrough is bringing back so many memories of screwing around on the DS version lol. God damn why did they fuck this series up. I loved the hell out of the first game but Chaos Theory just obliterates in just about every aspect. Blacklist isn't as bad as Conviction but it's still not Splinter Cell to me :c

I enjoyed conviction but the radically simplistic gameplay aspects I did feel like took away from the core aspects of the series, that being said the story, COOP and hand to hand combat were great additions I thought🔥 I hope the next entry tries to find a similar balance the way blacklist did with combat and stealth, but try to emulate the gameplay and coop from Chaos theory more😎 double agent and the other games were all great too
