I disagree, there were a lot of comments that sound exaggerated. If someone wants to leave this community and this was the only program they watched, I don’t think they would leave because of what seams to be over exaggerations statements. There are enough extreme problems in this community to report on that there doesn’t need to be inaccurate exaggerations. For example, boys being sodomized is typical behavior. I don’t doubt that it happened but to call it typical behavior is a very bold claim. How old are they? Warren’s oldest sons are in their mid 30s, but I believe of his five oldest sons, three are still in, one left but sadly took his own life several years ago, and the fifth recently left. More of his daughters have left the group than sons. I believe only Ammon, Raymond, Isaac, Abe, Jacob and Wendell of his sons have definitely left. The rest are still in their early to mid 20s and a couple are just turning 18.

Thankfully, my stepfather, a polygamist with two wives, was rejected by Rulon Jeffs (Warren Jeffs father) back in 1988. We were packed and ready to move to Colorado City after being excommunicated from the LDS church for polygamy. I don't get how you could meaningfully engage with the content in this video and come away with the conclusion that people just - of their own accord and by their own failings - "forget" to think, as though isolation, familial separation, SA, physical abuse, verbal abuse, and death (without even getting in depth) weren't real threats they faced for merely expressing dissenting viewpoints, let alone taking disobedient actions. They were born into this, the same way you're born into a world that tells you the colour blue is blue, and you believe it. They don't have access to outside perspectives that tell them it's wrong, and aren't educated in an environment that would reward dissenting viewpoints (or genuinely educated at all). They aren't safe to challenge these teachings. Therefore, what they believe is both not far fetched to believe, nor to perpetuate, and it's also not outside the realm of possibility that people who don't believe will say they do, because in many cases, that's their only safe option. The fact that all you can say is "people forgot to think, I guess" is enough showcase that you can be a reasonably thoughtful or intelligent person while not having either the empathy, knowledge, experience, safety or time to evaluate every situation you come across responsibly, or recognize how someone intelligent and thoughtful could end up believing things that may seem unlikely or absurd to an outsider. That mindset is actually one that is warned about given it is *that* which makes it all the worse for people being preyed upon by manipulative people who form abusive relationships (friendships, romantic, cults, etc.). Intelligent, reasonable, thoughtful people can be and are influenced just as often as anyone else. Being manipulated into cults or into believing "out there" ideas doesn't mean you're not smart and capable of reasoning. It *can* happen to anyone. People don't "forget" to recognize signs of abuse or deception - they weren't given healthy frameworks growing up to spot signs, don't have a safe space to take action against them, aren't in a mental or emotional state to healthily recognize it, are already in a bad situation and need an escape, or are victim to manipulative tactics meant to condition them (remember, abusers use these tactics *not* because the person is simply "thoughtless and abusable," but because these tactics *cause and exacerbate* unhealthy mindsets and cycles, whilst *successfully removing safety nets and options to escape*). Abusers use tools, and the tools are reliable. It's the method, not the victim, that is the problem. It's the method, not the victim, that shapes the dynamic and dictates the behaviors. That's why arming victims with tools to recognize and combat these things, *and* a network of support, *and* a safe game plan for safely separating themselves from an abusive environment is so important, because the abuser's tools *will* work. Otherwise, they'd get a new one, and oftentimes, escalate to more violent and dangerous tactics. Basically, as the commenter above noted, it is through blatant privilege that you haven't been in a scenario like this *and* can listen to the accounts given in this video but not comprehend the psychological abuse and effects it has, thus boiling it all down to "they forget to think, somehow; couldn't be me."

U could read the Bible for yourself, disregarding everything jw has taught you. They go off of prophets not the Bible. They twist and intertwine their doctrine but the Bible literally says if you do that you're cursed. So clearly we're not supposed to do that but instead let God, Jesus Christ, teach us the Bible. So yeah u could try that instead of giving up on God because false religion damaged you. Jesus has to save us for a reason. Bible, prayer, not church or teachers. I hope you consider, that's all I've got to say.

Oh i forgot to add they abuse dogs alot. They killed one if my dogs already and constantly mess with my dogs today. They hack phones and love frequencies and vibration. And they are digging around the piwer pole in country club, in front of country club terrace apartments. And are always digging underground, and tampering with things they shouldn't touch. Ine if the street lights on country club and ft lowell doesn't shut off during day and they use alot of really bright lights at night and love shining lights in people's faces.
