I was married at age 24, and that didn’t work out. And if I’m honest, I knew marrying him that it wasn’t “a match made by God” (but for certain reasons I felt I had to marry him)((🤰🏻)) after a 5 year marriage we divorced. I waited another 8 years and at the age of 37 God definitely showed me who I was supposed to marry, and we’ve been happily married ever since. Moral of the story: wait until you feel God has revealed the right person to you. Even if you’re 37, it will be better than an unhappy marriage that ends in divorce.

Katy says... It's the 24th January and I'm sat in Jake's house watching TV. After finishing filming Strictly Soulmates I decided to come and visit Jake here in California so that we could get to know each other better. I've been here almost a month now and we've had tons of fun visiting Disneyland and the Grand Canyon, and I've got to meet all of his family and friends. Unfortunately the relationship didn't work out quite like Jake and I expected, but we've managed to stay really good friends. It's been good to get to know him better without cameras and microphones and just us anyway. Jake had to fly back to California from England a week after we met so we didn't really get a chance to get to know each other properly during the filming. So now I'm getting ready to head back to England in a couple of days. I'm excited to get back to my youth work and see my family! I'll be sad to leave Jake and his family though; they have been really good to me here. But I'm sure we'll all keep in touch, and Jake will always be welcome to visit me in Manchester anytime!

(In my experience putting God first works, thats just how i got my husband, many happy years). True christians, if they allow God to choose for them, always flourishes in their relationships. Spencer Schnur for some reason that never became a Christian thing. Certain “Christian cultures” have them, but a lot of those come from pre-Christian times. They have “meet-ups” and some denominations give a lot if the control to the parents, it’s complicated, but, in general they don’t have the role you’re thinking about

A woman at my church as a child had a list in which she had matched up all the young people in church, we were all desperate to know who she had matched up everyone with, unfortunately she died and the list was lost forever 😭

I have a clean living reasonable looking, committed christian son who cannot find Miss Right. He isn't too young now. However we are praying for the right one for him. God can sometimes give the man a vision of his future wife. I have heard of it in a couple of cases. My son is not well off but if a woman is a true christian she would not worry about that. Being that we are the final generation to Jesus return now, he isn't holding his breath waiting. He gets on with his busy life. In his church it is only elderly, married people, and singles who have had kids (most are not living the christian life). We have to rely on God (if it is meant to be in his case) to provide a kind loyal person.

@@geniemeadows5122 there's still time for him. Some people marry later in life. It's tough to find committed Christians who aren't selfish to even date, let alone marry.

@RoxAnne Livengood...yeah that's right. Are you a committed christian and single? If so keep praying the Lord will answer. I prayed for my eldest son too at the time. He had finished his degree, had no car, no job, no friend, no wife nothing, but we prayed (he and I) and he met a girl in the office who was very keen on him.The rest is history for him they are married a while now and have a gorgeous little baby boy. His wife was a girl who hadn't slept with anyone (rare) and was christian and I believe because they were faithful God really blessed them. All my (eldest) son's prayers were answered.

So watching this documentary had made me think: God as a separate entity from us doesn't exist but rather "he" is ourselves when making decisions because we find it easier to make decisions when "someone else" approves. So what I'm saying is that when people say God chose this for me or God did this is actually just us feeling confident about our decision. Believing in a god isn't such a bad idea(when you lack confidence in your decision making) but it can give people confidence for wrong decisions like mass murder (if you know what I mean...I don't want to start naming and shaming lol).
