the thing which separates bruno and anderson especially bruno is that he can make these songs which have both mainstream sound which younger people love and that complex musicality with real instruments which goes well with the older audience which is very very difficult to do this can be the biggest album since thriller

You're absolutely right about that. But it's not valid for "Skate" unfortunately. It may be the first song that Bruno couldn't balance. The song does not fit present music that much. It's a fuckin' masterpiece, don't get me wrong. But it should've been more funky, especially the chorus. It's a bit lack of upbeat and it's gonna reflect on the charts and the stream negatively.

@@paranoyakrobot, the song doesn’t have to fit present music, that’s what makes it stand out. Gone are the days when radio was the only music platform and airplay really mattered. Now we have satellite radio, streaming music, and KZbin. Even with that, I’ve heard this song on the radio several times, which is saying something because I barely listen to the radio. The R&B stations are blowing this joint up, and it is going to #1 just like LTDO. There used to be a time when an album had a few good songs and the rest were fillers, but now, with more artists writing and producing their own music, albums have more quality content. When this album drops, people will have their favs like every other album. I love this joint just as much as LTDO for different reasons. Anderson and Bruno’s lyrics are catchy and playful, and I’m sure when people hear this song on the radio, they feel like bringing out the skates…I know I do!
