One big hurdle to this thesis are all the wallet draining hacks that seem to be constantly happening. Until the security process is tightened up - I think it will be harder to get mass adoption.

I don't understand why NFTs on a blockchain will have any value - especially now that AI can generate any image I want in real time. Buying NFTs is akin to hoarding DVDs just as Netflix arrives.

I've been following NFTs and STOs for years. The problem with digital items representing real world assets is the acceptance of it's representation and it's only unique to the Blockchain it resides on. So basically you need government to say your digital asset on Ethereum represents the intellectual rights to this song and make it enforceable. This is no easy task, overstock and tzero have been trying to do this for years. Government/Courts want the ability to confiscate, seize, freeze or transfer assets. Also what about assets on Polkadot, Solana will they be ignored. EVM Blockchains are also evolving, governments have barely adopted web 1.0 now expecting them to evolve with a dynamic web 2 and 3. NFTs as real assets is unlikely unless government says Ethereum is the asset Blockchain. Also AI isn't subject to laws of society, how do you enforce laws against IP theft on chatgpt instances?

There's nothing scarce about the same jpeg on multiple networks. Also all of this networks with the exception of Bitcoin are not decentralized. Therefore you can't guarantee that your jpeg will not be co-opted in the future.

How will regulator's value Eth, and what happen to your ETFs if Eth becomes a security by regulator's ?

How long will people continue to put up with regulators when they demonstrate zero interest in protecting investors, and everything they do is in the interest of protecting a banking and financial system committed to concentrating wealth into the hands of the rich and powerful. FTX would not have passed even the thinnest review. The regulators loved SBF and met with him over and over. Many crypto frauds have been reported and reported to the SEC who did nothing until many investors were hurt. One Coin, Bitconnect, and others. On the other hand, heavy regulation pushes crypto companies and projects off shore. Exchanges are set up off shore where no regulation can apply. U.S. citizens can't invest or participate in many super interesting projects. Money is speech (citizens united) in the U.S. ..... if you are rich and the usage is giving g money to buy influence. Money isn't speech if you are not rich, and it is a modest investment. Tools to secure crypto assets are suppressed because of the SEC. I work on such a project, but investment is hard due to regulatory risk. What dies the SEC care? One more FTX and they can grow their power more, and do more to disadvantage investors to protect their own.

One thing he got wrong - Majority of NFT projects move based on USD equivalent value, rather than being pegged to an ETH value. When eth moves up, NFT projects typically stagnate or depreciate in ETH terms.
