Yes, it's pointless to have 60+ fps if your monitor is 60hz

@@ReamAngkor for me, even we use monitor 60hz but fps we should to custom get more as much as we can. Example if u get 40fps to 50fps and get over 60fps in monitor 60hz I think fps 60 up more smooth than under 50fps.

The goal is to have 60HZ with 60FPS WITHOUT dropping frames, but that is practically impossible. Currently I am pushing to get 180-300FPS on my 1440p monitor because when I hotdrop in paradise in PUBG, my frame will drop to 120-144 then goes higher to around 160-180 when it's clear. Getting more than 60fps on your 60hz will seem more stable because of frames fluctuation.

No this is completely false. G-Sync and Freesync is a technology to syncronize FPS and Refresh Rate. What you are talking about is V-Sync which increases input lag! Those should be disabled in every game you play.
