Saying that you "hacked" Reaper to work with Atmos implies that Reaper has some built in limitation that wouldn't let it operate with unless modified. This couldn't be farther from the truth.

The technology is great. What is bad is Dolby licensing it. They didn't invent object based 3d audio, but they act like they did. There are other formats out there, even open source that won't ever get adopted into the market because of Dolby's push to have a monopoly on it.
