This is INSANELY fun to play with, i could do this ALL day long. Nothing will beat this in terms of unlocking creativity and inspiration STRAIGHT out of your brain . . . that little tune that's always spinning in your head can finally be captured as Midi ON THE SPOT !! 😁😁😍😄😍😍👌👌 Big ups to you Kenny !

I found that if you increase the "Window size" to 200, and the "Overlap" to 8x, it gets rid of a lot of the extraneous notes. I started getting clicks and pops, which was fine for just getting the MIDI in the PC from my voice, but if it really bothers you, you can just adjust your buffer.

This is one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. My keyboarding is slow, this is a game changer. Can you somehow add this sort of thing to a vocal track that already exists? I am a voice actor and it would be really cool to add a VST "my voice in places for some really cool effects. I just bet there's a way to pull this off.
@tezeta37253 жыл бұрын
You can add reatune to a prerecorded track and do the same thing
@fixelheimer372610 ай бұрын
@@tezeta3725 wouldnt you have to create a new track, (with reatune+record midi out) and put the output ( audio) of the original voice track into it (output send to reatune track)- because you cannot record and play at the same time!

extremely useful for things like UTAU/vocaloid/synthV this way I can just sing what i wanna hear from the virtual singer, it's easier for me to vocalize than use the piano roll
@CordaroRodriguez3 жыл бұрын
Awesome. Is there also a way to capture volume and translate that to CC1 modulation? In FL Studio, there is a Peak Controller allows you to use translate decibels to continuous controller data. Converting both pitch and volume of audio to midi and CC simultaneously would be game changing!

Perfect article! Someone is trying to sell me a plug-in for a quarter thousand dollars to do this exact function, when it turns out I can repurpose a voice tuner for it. Also, I find if latency is perceptable I can always drag the recording back in time to line up with all else.

After a lot of tinkering managed to get somewhat decent result. Apparently I can't hold a note. Set tecord to output MIDI To record midi "record monitoring" seems to be required, which may require you to disable your instrument while singing in order to properly save it.

nice... but too bad we don't have a JS plugin that could eliminate the small unwanted notes instead of having to use the filter after recording... I tried the JS MIDI Note Length but did not work well... it would be better if we could have a plugin or script that could filter out notes less than 1/8...
