Keyy, your Reaper tutorials are simply outstanding. 95% of what I know about Reaper I learned from your videos. I can't thank you enough!

Thanks, I never used freeze because I hated to see my Fx disappear, I didn't know you could have the details, and do it in layers! For now I was only doing "apply fx" after having selected the first fxs I wanted to somehow freeze, then I put them offline... So, thanks again!

Thanks Kenny, I really enjoy your style of making great tutorials. Some people can't bear the pace of your speech, personally I find it to be a perfect way to teach , you go straight to the essential but also your never forget any important details. The perfect way to learn !

Yeah, and it's a lifesaver with UAD plugins. I've only got 6 cores. They go pretty fast. This feature lets me do WAY more than I could with other DAWs with my MacBook Air, UAD Apollo Twin Duo, and UAD Satellite Quad. This is why I LOVE REAPER and Mr. Gioia!

Great video! I had no idea you could do that. Would have been very valuable when mixing my last album! :)

Awesome ! What’s the difference between this and putting an FX offline?!
@deltavistastudio1245 жыл бұрын
Offline FX are not processed. Frozen FX remain part of the sound, but don't take up processing power.

Great tutorial and functionality but what happens if the compressor is side chained?
@eschaton5 жыл бұрын
whatever the compressor is doing will be printed to audio, sidechain-controlled behavior included :-)

this is pretty cool. thank you very much. I need help with something. When I freeze certain FX, the receives of the track are also frozen. Now, I look at my unfrozen dynamic EQ of the same track and there is no sidechain signal coming in, since it was frozen when I froze the first FX. Any thoughts?
@greenprpl39963 жыл бұрын
awesome. i figured it out. You are supposed to freeze the track as a multichannel, so that you "store" the signal that will act as sidechain, within inputs 3/4, 5/6, etc

Hi - I noticed that when you are freezing FX that you have to freeze them in order. Is it possible to freeze only the last plug-in in the FX chain while leaving all of the prior FX operational?
@irascib1e3 жыл бұрын
That's impossible. You can't freeze the output of a track if the inputs aren't also frozen
@brandonsanchezr.73832 жыл бұрын
Reaper is driving me nuts :( How do I freeze plugins on a track without having Reaper delete my receives (sends from other tracks)? I can't find anything on the Reaper forums, is it a bug? It doesn't go away no matter how many times I keep updating it. Thanks for the help.

what about if freezing all FX in 1 freeze?
@kennygioia71845 жыл бұрын
You can do that as well.
@OrchestralMusicMidJourneyArt5 жыл бұрын
kenny gioia I assume you freeze with last fx and click the last one right?
@kennygioia71845 жыл бұрын
@@OrchestralMusicMidJourneyArt There's an option to freeze the whole chain but you can also choose the last one.
