I've never spent much time before creating different layouts before but man, I had no idea you can do so much with it, this really opened up my eyes to something really cool. Also, my mind can't comprehend the time you've put to make these videos man, major props.

Nice video ! I already went through this process and ended with same concept of top toolbar buttons opening different docked toolbars. Your video gave me some other ideas (the docked project note is brilliant !).

I know these things are constantly evolving, but you should release a reaper configuration that people could try in a portable install to see what they like. Also super interested in that track preset script!!! Yeah I know it’s not super simple, also planning on buying the icons! Maybe you could include the screen set with the layouts and stuff in the download?

Cool video! Will borrow some of these ideas. I would love to see a video on how to best optimize Reaper for touch screen use. I love mixing on my couch with my Microsoft Surface. Reaper is pretty decent for touch control but I imagine there are ways to improve it.

Most important question: How do I make it look easy while I know, it's all a complex and fragile construction of hacks.
@lookmomonlycomputer3 ай бұрын
reaper is clearly one of the greatest and cheapest daw on earth, the only issue is too much possibilities... but I just watch to mix on it future projects, so much cpu friendly than ableton.
@ladislaufazakas89803 ай бұрын
Cubase elements was for 50 euros, it contains a large package of effects and sounds, more features and options, why should I use reaper which is more expensive and is an empty daw? It doesn't make sense.
@BonoboBerry3 ай бұрын
Cubase Elements is $99 currently on their website. There's track limits and less plugins and less instruments (than the pro and artist version). But as far as samples and virtual instruments go, reaper doesn't have anything really useful. But that said, if all you use is stock plugins and stock samples maybe cubase might be better for you. But for those of us who mostly use third party plugins and samples it's irrelevant what daw you use as long as you're happy with it.
