Great video, so many riders don't take the time to adjust levers , brake pedals etc to be in the right place. Your video is just what riders need to see. Thank you 👍

GREAT idea, Tom. I will be practicing this today as well as the RSG technique. Always fun to watch your video as well as the analysis you put with them.

Really well done, this is a great idea. I've always wondered about getting comfortable being off the rear brake, as a street rider I generally covered the rear brake (and front brake) and it has taken a while to get used to riding on the arches or balls of feet and moving them around to access the controls. One other thing I've been working on is crash readiness/recovery. I watched a Pat Smage video on getting ready to bail, as this is not a comfortable thing when the bike stops moving to realize it is going to end badly unless you jump off. Someone with a lot more comfort on the bike it is going to be natural, but someone who is used to hanging on for dear life, well getting used to having the bike get into an uncomfortable position and then stepping or jumping off until it becomes natural is important for improving ones skill and willingness to try harder things.

I'll just add that I love this specific video, I've been doing the whole wheelie, rear brake thing for a while but never realized I could be practicing more than just pressing the rear brake lever. Will try the foot rotation thing with some wheelies this weekend. Thanks.

For sure. Pat's video on how to crash safely was a game changer for me. I did for realized how they were rotating their toe off of the rear brake until I really paid attention to pro riders and analyze their movements. Thanks for your comments 👊

Your splat is looking good, Tom. Nice job holding pressure too. I’m still working on RSG, but I’ll try it one of these days. Ive gained so much more confidence with wheelies since drilling to use the rear brake last year.
