How was the shifting and how long did it last? With 11-42T did you add any links to your chain, how many links did your chain had back then? The mechanic told me that my Deore 10 speed can't handle 42T and that I would need 11-40T

last about 6 months, then change to 11-50, and plate 38 being a 26er. I think it was 112 links. I remember that the changes were super smooth, even more than xtr rd-m986, which I put later. if you need a longer screw, the one that regulates the forward or reverse of the derailleur. (angle)

i dont think so, many of them are 36 or 38t compatible i think, but im noot a hundred percent sure, better look it up.

If they are recreational outings and exceed these values I recommend a 11-46, being long exits the fatigue could make some ramps difficult. For the 46t I recommend a pin extender. Is the derailleur with the original cage ? I'm thinking about to add extender for the derailleur , because i read that some people have problems shifting to 42t

Con esxtensor de postiza te ga el 50 pero demora aveces al bajar al piñon pequeño por quedar tan abajo

I think so, well 10 and 11 speeds are DynaSis Shimano, obviously using an 11 speed shifter, and a maximum cassette of 42 teeth, unless you use an extender.
