Two videos in one week? Wow! You're cruising now, or else you've got to keep moving to stay warm! Looking good.

Thank you Simon! Yes I had a bunch of Video shot that needed to be processed. I’m basically current now so things will slow down a bit..

My mig welder and plasma cutter has given me the ability to do anything I want when it comes to metal fabrication...and so far I've been using flux core wire exclusively... everyone told me not to, that I would burn through constantly...they were correct in the early stages but soon enough I had it down...I have both machines wired with identical plugs, with 120 or 240 capabilities..and a 50 foot cord with a fuse box that can be taken to almost any home and plugged in quickly... will be getting my argon setup soon and Im betting that it will be easier to master then flux core was

Thanks for the input. I had borrowed a plasma cutter for a while but found it easier to use a cutting wheel. I’m not very experienced and use what works for me. I did buy a 240 mig that I like. The flux core was challenging. Your better than I am.

Well, why isn't the engine removed? This only takes 10 minutes, then you can also weld from the other side. And don't strain the body when jacking it up.

I had the engine out and completely rebuilt it and had a very hard time putting back together. Had a mechanic buddy come over and still was a very hard time. So I got a little gun shy on pulling it out again. On my next rebuild I have had the engine out and back 3-4 times and it went really slick. still not sure why that motor was so challenging. Thank you for your input and watch. I'm doing a full body off restoration.

Yes. I'm in a office most of the time so working with my hands is very therapeutic.

@@beetlebuild8528 I have to put a new muffler on mine this year.
@beetlebuild85283 жыл бұрын
@@shanesmaineshop I rebuilt the motor in mine earlier. So new muffler and pipes. I've rebuilt many v8's but this split case was a new challenge. Some of my earliest videos shows that rebuild. I've put on about 1000 miles since then but we are in the heart of winter now. -51 Windchill this morning, so puttering with body work this winter.

@@beetlebuild8528 I had mine rebuilt as well just did not do it myself, I just removed it and reinstalled it using the old muffler, well the day has come to replace it. I am in Maine and the salt really eats cars up. I dont drive it much now but it used to be a daily driver.
