Did you decide to protect your roof top such as a vinyl wrap before adding your roof rack?

No. There are no extra holes or rubbing for this roof rack. It uses factory holes and screws to install so. No damage on the roof area. 👍🏼

Why didn’t you go with knuckle bone instead of swing away? I’m thinking of buying the knuckle bone, it’s cheaper and Lighter

Knuckle Bone is inconvenient. The tire has to touch the ground everytime you want to open the rear hatch. I wanted the swing out design like every other company's design. I originally wanted the CBI dual swing away rear metal bumper but it was too expensive and heavy. I love mine.

Only when I go offloading somewhere far. Because of the weight, I usually take the spare tire underneath the truck and just use the tire carrier one in the back.
