What line did you use from the radio harness? Cant see it well in the video... I dont think mine has a power one like that it just says Key1, Key2, and Amp are all I have left

I have tried step by step according to the video. But the reverse camera is not on, even though it has positioned the Gear in "R" it doesn't even show any notification on the monitor, is there any advice?

What was the first wire name you connected the video camera to on the harness

Buy connectors or solder....never just tape..the explanation was great just spend an extra 10 minutes for the connection

Sorry maybe a stupid question, how does the camera know its in reverse? Does it not have to be wired to the reverse bulb?

When you use Android Car Stereo with wiring harness that have Canbus, the canbus send information to the stereo when you are on reverse and show the picture to the screen.

where do you plug the rca cable, (yellow video) into the back of the unit, i used the video in but cant get a picture, and the camera seems to be powered due to the lights turn on when its in reverse. thanks

Me too. I think the camera is not adequate. PS. I solved the problem. While I was tinkering with everything behind the radio, the yellow cable came off. Now is all good.

I disagree about it being ‘lazy’ - it’s a no frills simple to follow procedure with nothing hidden. You can make it look pretty once you’ve got the thing working!

What's lazy? The cables are tucked away, the thing is working, externally it looks exactly the same as other methods. Work smarter not harder.
