Rearranging Shelves In Our Bedroom to Display My Various Collections

In this video I show you how I rearrange my shelves in our main bedroom with our various collections. This area has collections that are more personal to me. Our bedroom is more eclectic than the other spaces of our home. It has that vintage comfortable lived in feel that we enjoy. Maximal in its use of space this area has a spot for everything and everything has a place. If you watched our last video, you remember I removed all of the Greco-Roman pieces to put in our library loft area. We wanted that space to have a more cohesive design. The books in our bedroom went to the library as well. By removing all of these pieces it gave me more room to rearrange and visually thin out this space. To some this is not minimal, to us it is a big change from our previous look. We are loving the clean interesting fun walls full of the things we love. You really are a hard core collector. I think you mentioned one time your mother was a collector too. I ❤vintage and antiques too and like to display them but I don’t have the room to have it all out at one time. I can tell you really enjoy all that you have.

I like your collections. That little gas pump is so cute and different. My dad collected Lionel trains for years and had a nice set up on the ping pong table in the basement that the grandchildren enjoyed. How special that carved Lincoln piece is that was your mothers. Fun video.

Jeff, you bring back memories. Years ago I found a large vintage fire truck for $1.00 at a women's league thrift store. I purchased it an almost ran out of the store..😄 I felt like a thief. Love your collections. My fire truck goes under the Christmas tree every year. 👍💕

You may not be able to loose your marbles, but you can give them away. Born in 1957 - marbles, yo-yos, and kites were my favorites. While in elementary school, if a boy asked me to be his girlfriend, I would say, “yes if you give me your favorite marble”. Mom had to sew a big draw string bag for all my marbles. I wish I could give them all back to those boys! I hate that I actually took them from them! 🥹 no excuse for being 7 years old.

Jeff I to love the coca cola Children love their clothing so great. All the beautiful memories you have and love. I love the Scotty dogs precious. We used to have a Scotty dog named Mack he was a real joy. But he didn't potty train very good. So we had to find him loving home. He became a sire which I'm sure he was in heaven. What an absolutely lovely collection Jeff! I have the same sailor doll, Matthew. I love that you have the baby sailor as well. I didn't know they made one in a smaller version. I also have that glass horse and buggy,- great idea to put marbles in it. I put dried flowers in mine. That little glass Scotty dog is super cute. I think years ago it came free with a cereal. I saw it out in a thrift store once and passed it by and then later thought I should have purchased it. The trophy urn at about 15 minutes in is absolutely gorgeous and of course the bulldog collection is wonderful. I've never seen one before. Thank you for sharing :)

Very cool ! Yes the little sailor originally came with the bigger one as a set ...I found baby one on EBay to go with the bigger one that was a gift as mentioned....I saw them together in a shop years ago so I knew he existed ! 😊☕€;)

Good morning Jeff and Angela! It's amazing how just rearranging a collection can make it feel different and new. My main collection is in the kitchen and consists of mostly ceramic, glass and china vegetables. Dust is an issue here in the desert southwest. We also heat with a woodstove. So ten minutes after I clean, it looks like I never did! I have to keep my vintage glass and china in cupboards for display due to my often destructive Maine Coon cat.😺 Your bedroom display came out very nicely!
