Technical Correction: The drain plug SHOULD have been torqued to 48 ft lbs - not 29 ft lbs as stated in the video (though I can guarantee it was still torqued waaayyy higher than spec - I neglected to note I heated the drain bolt as one of my progressive steps in getting this sucker off). In defense of the jiffy shops, the manufacturers don't make it easy to find said torque specs, presumably in order to press you into using the manufacturer-specific service centers where they charge much higher labor rates.

Yeah - definite pain in the butt. In their defense, I will say manufacturers don't make it easy to find the specs (hoping you will use the manufacturer's specific service centers). In fact, I have to post a technical note comment to this one - I guess I'm lucky my drain bolt didn't loosen or leak given it was only torqued to 29lbs and it called for 48! 😎✌️
