A New Revamped Piano Roll and Sequencer is desperately needed if they could do the piano roll similiar to how FL studio is nice n big with each key labeled and very easy to point n click in notes would be nice maybe a quick chop tool to would be great im probably asking for to much

Read the blog. Great to have an idea of what the decision makers are thinking. While some may say VST3, the "Immediate musical results" areas should be the #1 priority for development. As with the graphics, it may be time to update the main systems (sequencer, audio engine) and functionality as opposed to new devices. I'm looking at other DAWs, but I REALLY DON'T WANT TO. I liked the ease of having everything "in the box", but the grass is starting to look greener on the other side.

I believe Mimic does already detect the key of a sample. If you look underneath the master volume there is a screen that on the left has the analyzed key of the sample, on the left the root and tune and in the middle a button that when press will accurately shift the sample to the proper root and tune.

Discovered it too today...BUT whar i´m gonna check tomorrow if rhe results are rhe same,ie if the pitch detection algorithm is the same with all pitch detection instruments like grain and nnxt and maybe the pitch lane in the sequencer. Curious.

its one thing people missing about the COMBI is that now you can add combi with combi on the same track! meaning the effects you have in Master Section won't get replaced when you drop other effects like before.

Yeah updated to 12 only for mimic and future upgrades... Heard VST3 support is supposed to be in January so that will be cool as well.... I wish they would have added the ability to export audio or text files out of mimic as well but it is what it is..

Nice video. Same requests, the waiting game. That's Reason. The new combinator is very nice, but $129 for it? I wasn't really feeling too much else from it, I can do everything in 10 they were pushing other than the Combinators modularity. The DAW part is pretty much the same. The new browser needs to be polished. Reason Studios needs to hire more developers and get a understanding of what the competition is doing release to release. They could have whipped this up in a couple months. The new sampler is a combination of their new synths with audio loading. IF they put the upgrade on sale this holiday I'll get it, but I'e gotten used to holding on to my impulse spending money lately when its come to Reason. Oh and all their drum machines should have the auto routing to the SSL as individual channels of course, they were hearing this 10 years ago with Kong.

Vic I been saying for years recycle needs to be in reason I'm glad they made a new sampler with time stretch and you you can chop samples they finally catching up with other samplers like studio ones. Due to inflation and a a loss of my studio during the pandemic, and being from a 3rd world country, I was hopping to jump into it next month, but now that the price is raised and also the way they said that they're going to raise it was a bit of an insult to me, maybe I was so emotional to get it that when they announced the raise I felt Really pissed of, as you said in the video about 11; I moved to FL Studio also, having the RRP in hands when I need it, and at the same time, recovered really quickly my visual memory when Using It ! that being said the price point is a no no for a us, 3rd world country guys that lost everything during this pandemic and still have a curfew's at 21h ... with no festivals, no night club, no discotheques ...

Dope beat man,I'm feelin it. So I programmed a drum beat in the sequencer like you did in this video and used Mimic. Now I have a sample which I sampled from vinyl and I want to make a loop out of it. How do I time stretch the sample to the drumbeat I made? Does it work like timestretching in the sequencer? I can't figure it out. And I can't explode drums to note lanes with Mimic.

I feel like propeller head is walking around like they're the biggest s*** in the world, when the last 10 years all they've been doing is catching up to software such as fruity loops and or Ableton. For the longest time propellhead did not allow for recording audio and was only signal based. They can do some pretty cool stuff and have their own really cool style, but it took you guys 10 years to get up to par with everybody that's already been doing this?

I don’t like it because there are so many things that should be there, which are missing. When I chop and stretch things, I want individual control of the slices. I want to be able to repitch the individual slices. I want to be able to reverse slices. Ect. Without that it’s not really “creative” to me

Yo, if it has things basic like a sequence or you don’t like use another one. Second if you read how much work it took to bring up the resolution, a year and a half just for that so they could piggyback and do other things, then you need to check yourself. I’m sure the sequencer would take a whole Lotta time and y’all keep referring to other dies that are better. So use them! And a lot of people don’t wanna pay for the upgrades.You do your work do you want to get paid but you want these companies to do all this stuff and you don’t want to pay them? It’s a tire some dialogue
