That's one way to look at it... but TDE being transparent like this is way realer than the shit we get from other labels from the outside looking in. I get the professionalism part. But at the same time, you gotta respect that they were both willing to show how they look at the situation in front of us. You'd be surprised at the bullshit other labels put their artists through and they're not even able to have this conversation behind closed doors, let alone on a public platform. Fans just end up left in the dark wondering why the artist isn't dropping. There are a lot of moving parts involved in releasing music. Maybe the next step for the label is to micromanage each artist individually to take some of the load of Moos. Establish a budget for each artist that somebody else manages... or the artist themselves learns how to budget their own product and get that budget upfront. Big up to Reas for standing his ground on his art. I'm sure everybody on the label wants what's in the best interest for their artists. Why wouldn't they? Conversations like this have to happen for shit to move in any direction. But we still don't know the inner workings and details of what Reas can and can't do based on the budget.
