Yeah I found the magic necklace ridiculous too! lol It was a nice touch that Gras never figured out why Mars moved backwards yet he went out with his heart full of hope and a conviction of sorts.

Not sure about how much time we'll have with Oczy (he is now free to be on chopping block since he met Badeni), but it seems like we'll at least spend a good amount of time with Badeni because the only other person after that seems highlighted as a potential MC is the blonde hair girl (theorized to be Nowak's daughter). Badeni seems to be in the position to go much further in developing the research (ex: more than Oczy who lacks experience in scholarly field).

@@raec5426 May I know how did you come up with the theory that is Nowak's daughter?
@raec5426Ай бұрын
@@returneefromthemoon He mentioned having a daughter before for his motivation. For OP/ED there's a female character that is young (teenage) and has blonde hair. Nowak seems like he'll have an arc of some sorts being constantly appearing character, so it could be a source of conflict for him as an inquisitor if his daughter was involved as a potential "heretic" too.
@ousou78Ай бұрын
That would be screwed-up to have Novak discover his daughter doing "heretic" stuff But that would be interesting to watch.

Potocki is pronounced Pototzki, with the accent on the second “o” and with an “i” vowel at the end.

It would have been cool if Glas 'got it' but the point they tried to drive home last episode was that he's pretty much a noob and doesn't know much about astronomy
@madmalkavian385721 күн бұрын
@Ash_Wen-li He's a noob, but I like to think the intent was that he was another promising astronomer in the making that was just another unfortunate casualty of the time. It is stated that his notes were impressively thorough.

When they found that bridge and said "Looks like this bridge is still intact" I said "If this bridge collapses as they're walking across it, that is just lazy writing". Then, as they walked on the bridge, I looked at it and said "That thing is made of stone. They're not going to make the thing collapse from 2 people walking on it. Stone bridges can last for centuries". And then I breathed a sigh of relief. I'm gonna watch these 2 reach the slightly-disgraced monk. Then Gras gives Oczy a choice and I'm stoked to hear his answer AAAAAAAAAND the bridge collapses. And I said "...". That's what I said. "..."

Yeah the bridge scene was a bit much
@bojackbojackbojackАй бұрын
@@Ash_Wen-li - lol. My initial thinking, before it collapsed, was "It would be so lame if they made the bridge collapse just for some tension". I understand NOW why they did it, story-wise. But I just laughed when I saw that thing begin to fall.
@raec5426Ай бұрын
Yeah, my only critique of the series so far is the bridge scene for Gras's death. At least they should have hinted at this specific bridge being more unstable (like briefly zoom in on their feet on the surface with some cracks as they walk across). They made it seem very stable, and then it just completely broke apart to split down the middle out of nowhere on cue. lol Then how Gras was held up by necklace for awhile and how Oczy still seemed to save the broken necklace from falling (doubt he could recover that if it fell in the water) since he had it later.

@@raec5426 - That stone-bridge looked sturdy as HELL when I was watching this episode.
@returneefromthemoonАй бұрын
The collapsing bridge wasn't that much. The misconception that the story must be unpredictable is weird. Though the fact that the necklace holding him for even several seconds is unrealistic, because the stress from the falling body plus the "kick" would've snapped that.
