It may be the playing culture. They are a spoilt. They've got the best facilities, they earn a mint, the squad depth is down so there's no incentive to push on everyweek. I suggest during the next break, the squad attend boot camp.

This is rough man, this is exactly the same as last season, there was imprivement but the capitulation happens at the halfway mark and before the Jan window we are holding onto dear life. I can't see Ange being the mastermind behind this kind of ineptitude in planning. Tottenham are good, very good, at an elite level at playing against teams that come at them and have openings. Most of tottenhams attacks are counter attacks, won in their half. I heard a really good analogy the other day. Somone made the remake on the difference between Pep and Ange. Pep manipulates space with ball movement, Ange manipluates space with player movements. Obviously it's not just that, but thats a pretty good summary. And if there was one thing i'd want Ange to do is focus more on playing and making space. Because we just end up playing around wide, never really being able to penetrate the middle of the park when a team is parking the bus. We are insufferably weak against that type of opponent, and now with all these injuries. It is fucking brutal. I do believe he needs time, to get more of his players in and embedd them. Obviously things are not working now, but i think in time they will. But will he get that time? And will this current team be enough to be able to beat teams sticking to the predictable principles Ange has laid out? It doesn't seem so, you neeed to be excellent to be able to play through another teams ability to know your every move. But when you're not. The team has so many weaknesses atm it is crazy.
@comeonyouspurs4915 күн бұрын
Yeah I agree mate we are far too easy to play through when the players are not at it! But when they play well it feels like we can beat anyone it's crazy! I've never seen so much up and down in a season ever! We do use players to create space but that heavily relies on service, if the passing is off then it completely breaks down and that seems to happen more against low block sides

I think the Chelsea game makes no difference really, yep the fans won’t be happy if we lose, but what is need is for the players to stand up and be counted, so to say to the fans, yes we’re behind the manager, yes we care and have some pride. The bigger game is the QF against United, show everyone that we can go on and win a trophy, get the monkey off our backs and then I think most fan will be willing to give the rebuild more time. There is no point in sacking Ange, as all it will do is make Conte’s last words ring out louder than ever, It’s easy to play here with out any pressure, to not want to fight for the big things. Coys
@comeonyouspurs4916 күн бұрын
You're 100 percent right mate these players need to show they are capable of winning things and a trophy would definitely show we are going in the right direction I just hope Ange gets time and these players are good enough at the moment they are not showing they are

I really can’t see us beating Chelsea they really are at it, but I really think Levy is the ring master he picks the manager blame Levy for getting young inexperienced players he wants the wage bill cap, i still can’t understand why Ange plays such high line most weeks, he didn’t against city no inverted wing backs he didn’t against Villa flat back three with normal wing backs hitting on the break look back at the games inverted wing backs crowd the midfield it’s a mess
@comeonyouspurs4916 күн бұрын
This shows he does adapt when needed but it's the lack of conviction from the players and individual mistakes that Ange shouldn't be blamed for the players need to take accountability too

@comeonyouspurs4916 күн бұрын
@robertayres7009 and that's right mate if we can't get points on the board then everything will be pointed at Ange I just think sometimes the players get away with too much, they could string two passes together the other day and they lacked any intensity even in the first 20 minutes so that's not fatigue in my opinion
@robertayres70096 күн бұрын
Mostly because we are playing a high line, it is costing the team loads of hamstrings going, fatigued general lack of interest i think and we aren’t getting strong older lads I lost interest years ago I was told by someone inside levy wasn’t interested in a successful club just a money pit for him mostly, because when old Joes toes turn up it’s his i reckon
@comeonyouspurs4916 күн бұрын
@robertayres7009 there are many teams who play the high line it's just we don't implement it then way he wants still which is a bit of a concern it don't help having your two first choice CB out but still he does change that like you say for some games, I think it's the training it's too intense it's like playing 5 games a week

Not likely to beat Chelsea really but any points would be useful . I think your expectations are more realistic . The players can't run 100% of the time it is impossible . The more I hear from Ange the more I realise he has no other system ; you have to adapt to the team in front of you .

Jerry Jones pays big wages for the best players, which is exactly the opposite of what Daniel Levy does. We need an owner like Jerry Jones to help us bring in those ready-made, top quality stars on big wages. Jones won 3 Super Bowls in the 90s, and his current Dallas Cowboys have a 4-9 record in the playoffs between December 5, 2004 and December 5, 2024. So Jerry Jones is a successful owner who is trying to win things, unlike Daniel Levy who couldn't give a shit about the football side of things.

With zero research and only hearing rumours on Instagram. I saw a lot of people claiming he's "an ego maniac" and way worse than Levy, Someone even said that "calling him the American Levy is an insult to Levy". And hearing these from you, I think he's the mixture of other American owners of big Premier League clubs. He doesn't spill money on everything to solve every problem like Todd Boehly or the Glazer family, nor he's not very hesitant to spend a lot like John Henry. The only thing I want from him though is to have a winning mindset
@comeonyouspurs4916 күн бұрын
@ardavamik67 the winning mindset would be to spend more money in this financial world of football though we lost our on some players because levy wouldn't pay the wages so if he came in and just upped the wages bill that would entice a higher calibre of player to come which may elevate us onto another level

@@comeonyouspurs491 They don't want to win, mate, because they know the demand for more trophies would increase from the fan base. I could create a title challenging team with in just four windows. And you would need to do that because the experienced players only have a certain time when they're iat their prime best. You need to mix it up with the best young talent, then you've got the 23 to 24 yr old players and ending with the experienced players from 26 yrs and up. We could have brought in Gyokeres for 85 million, then Gallagher for 35 million and maybe a top winger like Mbuema or Wiss for 40 million. Then you bring in Bergvall for 10 million. That's 3 top players with experience and end product in their respective fields and one emerging young talent with potential. Then if you need to, buy in January to strenghten you do so. So I'd go with Gyokeres striker age 26, Mbuemo right winger 25, Gallager CM age 24 as first team starters. Bergvall 18 to learn from the bench. So our starting line up would be Vicario, Undogie, VDV - Romero - Porro -- Bentancur - Gallagher - Maddison-Son - Mbuemo - Gyokeres. Now that's what I call a brilliant creative hard-working high scoring team. Gyokeres 85 million, Mbuemo 45 million, Galagher 35 million and Bergvall 10 million. That's 175 million which means we don't need to buy huge in the next coming transfer windows. We have young defenders learning their trade out on loan. We could find cover for Undoge or bring in stronger competition on the left. We have young Sarr and Bissouma as backups in Midfield. Kulu as backup for either Maddison in the CAM role, or backup for Mbeumo and Johnson on the right. We could buy a young left winger to eventually take Sons position. And we have will Lankshire and Richarlison as backup for the striker/wing positions if needed. Our revenue would be close to 600 million by the end of this season. We're in a fantastic position. I'm not saying that this team is winning the league but Levy could follow up by introducing Eze into the fold to make us even stronger. That would be a title challenging side with a good manager in place of Ange. Think about Sarr and Gallagher covering every blad of grass. The a dynamic midfield with power and the ability to break up opposition attacks. So many relationships developing in midfield and Sarr learning from these experienced pros. Our wings are now more dynamic, with Mbuema bursting past oppostion defenders to either score or create assists. Son getting 15 to 20 goals a season. Gyokeres providing 20 to 25 goals a season. Mbuemo would get you 10 to 12 goals per season. Maddison chipping in with 10 goals and 10 assists. And the rest of the goals spread out through the team. We will never see anything like this with Levy, he'll always leave us weak, which means we'll come up short more often than not. .
@comeonyouspurs4916 күн бұрын
@todareistodomyfoot8403 everything you said if happened would be a very very strong side a team that would be very hard to beat I would put kulu in the 10 ahead of maddison though as he has everything not just creation, the midfield then would be full of strength and energy it would be very hard to deal with, gykores up front with solanke on the bench would be brilliant too and once we covered left back back up and another couple of young centre backs like vuskovic and Philips to come in then we would be complete levy just don't understand this concept ... But cheap but twice!! And as a business man you would of thought he would of learned this by now

lol it's true, and you're starting to sound like me now, forever the optimist. Well, I hope we beat Chelsea, but we're really down to the bare bones. I think Dragusin, Gray and Foster would have to have the game of their lives for us to beat Chelsea. I think the players need a backup plan when they travel to other stadiums on a cold, windy, rainy night in the middle of nowhere. You can't be relying on this fancy-free football when the wind is effecting the ball and the rain creates a slippery surface. Players are going to get injured during this time if they're fuck-arsing about trying to play like 1970s Brazil in the pissing rain. Ange needs to set us up with a good, solid meat and potatoes defensive system. Just put three big lugs as our CBs and give up about 20% of possession as the boys try to win a point or get 3 pts if they're lucky.

@@comeonyouspurs491 lol ha ha. 175 million would have got us Gyokeres - Gallagher and Mbuemo plus Bervall. Then maybe the next summer you bring in Eze on the cheap as he'd be on the final year of his contract I think. Then you bring a left back as competition for Undogie. That team would have the potential to score 90 plus goals a season in an Ange system and I think we'd leak less goals with Gallagher and Bentancurs work rate to protect that back four. Our wing play would be super with Mbuemo a dynamic winger and Son stepping up because he's playing with better quality players which strecth defences, Maddison chipping in with 20 gl/a contirubtions. Mubuemo gettting 10 to 15 goals a season from the wing. Son getting 15 to 20 goals a season. Gyokeres getting 20 to 25 goals a season. Gallager getting 8 to 10 goals a season.
