You should be a teacher. Super well explained in easy to understand language. Consider me well schooled. Thanks!

Good video, however I think you misspoke about the ethanol free gas. You said ethanol free gas goes bad quicker which is not accurate. Ethanol free gas will take longer to gum than gas with ethanol. Ethanol free gas generally, under ideal storage conditions, is good for around 6 months. Less than that for 10% ethanol gas.

Hey man just wanted to say that's pretty big help. Howeveeerrr... On my technically 5th generator, 2 tailgators from harbor freight. 1 Craftsman from Lowe's. And a 2 predator 3750 watt from harbor freight. My plugs keep going bad. Like they're sold silver and look like coal Black....plus weird white ooze on a...(styrofoam) looking filter. I ain't got the slightest clue then again I live off grid and the generator is my only source of electricity atm. Any ideas?

Hello :-) I fell on your video because I live in Philippines and have a diesel generator (chinese brand, model is SG6500SE). We have frequent black outs here and our generator is very much needed... It is 4 years old, and we do regular maintenance, although here we do not find qualified people unfortunately :-( Our issue lately is that a few weeks ago, we had a long blackout (over 8 hours) and after 4-5 hours, the regime suddenly changed (no additional devices on) to lower and the generator began to spit a heavy black smoke. We immediately turned off the generator and had someone checked it... Spark plug was cleaned, air filter checked (it is clean). It did it again yesterday, after more or less one hour running... What could it be ? If it was the choke, the air filter or the spark plug, it would immediately spit black smoke, no ? We are at a loss and we would greatly appreciate your input :-)
