Eric in the book loves Sookie and cherishes her, protects her. The show is different. He cares less about Sookie and he's not going to win her over at all. She's just a person with abilities that are useful to him at the moment. And well, Eric was going from side to side. In season 4, he almost killed Tara, the best friend of someone he seems to have feelings for. In season 3 he endangered Sookie's life because of revenge. you can rant all you want on this topic (but I won't get into a special debate), but revenge was paramount for him. and meeting Nora didn't really tell me much about his love for Sookie. I don't know, I used to love Eric myself. But I see that he is a selfish, ambitious and not always honorable vampire. and that's why I used to love him. he's a real bad guy.

Loved the Beel/Eric bickering and even though Eric's comment was a tad creepsville, the man is H.O.T so all is forgiven. His super aggressive stance is to emphasize his 'vampire nature' over the sensitive man he once was- which we will see as the series progresses and the witches do their mind erasing trick!

first off i think you are hilarious and you are definitely pulling from all the watcher's thoughts.... this scene is creepy.. but i love his growl of pleasure of seeing her. And i do agree that its probably a viking idea of owning the house and therefore sookie. writers are definitely mixing eric up with bill. BILL is the one who is possessive!!!

Just a thought. Too bad they didn't infuse a human into the story. A human who cannot die. An immortal super-human who can't become Vampire or Werewolf if bitten. Whose blood turns them back to human no matter how old.
