It was un unvaluable against Demon of Hatred because it can completely negate it's AOE attack in the second and third fase, but I didn't know it could block the Ape's AEO, that's terrific

If talking 4 phases, I can do 1 and 2 in seconds sometimes but the rest is hard.

@@Baracuda520 Oh definitely! The Genichiro and sword only phase are both easy its when he pulls out the spear that Im inconsistent with. Ive managed to get through it once but now Im stuck there again on my second playthrough. Its driving me nuts.

@@Baracuda520 I finally beat him earlier today. I tried that method but it just didn't work for me. I ended up hitting him with oil and then blasting him with a charged flame vent attack. The one you need pine resin for. That got him below half vitality and then I was able to deflect just enough to break his posture. In the third phase I baited the leap and punished the miss and sent his lightning back at him. That phase went smooth as butter.

Its so good for fighting multiple enemies in a game that doesn't want you fighting multiple enemies. I remember using it when fighting 3-4 of the red elites who dual wield swords. The parry window is so good. Combine that with project force and its just so useful. Easily the best prosthetic, only given competition by the flame vent.

The follow up attack does way too much posture damage especially when you are able to block attacks with the umbrella before it. If not for the, you know, easy counter, consider getting it for the attack, it's a thing of beauty.

Honestly it makes the game x50 better by simply being a direct upgrade to the regular reflect, the fact that you don't get knocked back by certain attacks like Corrupted Monk's final hit of her beyblade combo is so useful to get better positioning and more damage in. Essential for any player

No I just kept progressing through NG+ cycles. I think savescumming hurts you in the long run if you want to get the platinum achievement because the amount of experience you need to unlock every skill is insane. It took me to the end of NG+6 where bosses were giving between 50k-75k xp per kill to finally unlock all my skills which was my last achievement for platinum.

Pretty sure you press either the attack button or the deflect button while the umbrella is out

With an upgraded umbrella, while holding the button to have it out, every time you press the block/deflect button it spins for a bit and anything that hits while it spins will be deflected perfectly, every spin costs another emblem
