This is the first part of a quick-and-dirty reassembling of the VW Vanagon 010 Automatic Transmission. I am not a professional automotive technician and this is not in any way meant to be a definitive resource for working on this transmission. Follow the example herein at your own risk.

Thank you so much id no clue but had to take my auto gearbox out with limited tools & acces ans small budget ect oh and as for my Jack whell!!! . I am almost ready to rebuild . Once again thank you for making my job so much easier ,ps I've ADHD so videos work for me 😊

brother my transmission when hot make a noise ...hidráulico problem ..but we dont localize until now....my impression that next a converter torque ...( Replaced alread) And next a engine its new too

Just a caution wobbling the fwd planetary gearset to get the friction dics's to line up can easily crack those samll cast iron locking rings. Ask me how I know...Great video though....made my rebuild far easier...!

Hello, how are you? Good videos. I have no problem. I hope you could help me with my doubt. I have a 1988 Jetta with automatic transmission 010. I would like to know how the speeds are synchronized since when I put the car in neutral, if it accelerated, the car advances as if it were in drive. and I would like to see if it can be synchronized from the outside or they have to open it to adjust it, hopefully it could guide me and if it has the manual for that transmission, a hug would be of great help and continue with those videos

My car is doing the same thing. Car wants to go forward in any gear. The manual I have says the forward clutch could be stuck in the applied position. I just got my transmission out of the car. 1991 Jetta
