I really loved REAVER, was such a fun experience. Always did expect the dev to add in a more diverse points system though, maybe one day

Another one for the wishlist. I'm kinda sick of early access though, either i burn out of the game before it's released/have a subpar experience or i am blueballed for years. it's fine for roguelikes or multiplayer games but for singleplayer campaign based games it really sucks and indie fps games are plagued by this. I've lost count of how many are stuck in early access hell or released without all episodes being done

By the way, in this game it is possible to complete the levels in reverse order with more complex waves of enemies. Try It.)

After playing the demo the diffrence from ultrakill is that Reaver handles like a crak fueled sharpshooter rater than a well oiled killing machine

Love the subgenre, but this one looks way too close visually to Ultrakill for me, feels a bit weird in some way. Still, good to see such titles get producer and hopefully it succeeds.

Looks fun but like some others said , very close to ultrakill. Blood splatter almost 1:1 copy from watching on the phone. If they add the scoring system it will be even more so. Maybe when this comes out in 2025 ( which seems long ) we’ll have forgotten about ultrakill. Not gonna complain about another fast fps coming out though, just hoping they’ll find something to set the apart from uk.

Gameplay aside, this looks like an ultrakill reskin a little bit too much for my taste. Would have been nice if they had their own artistic direction instead of copying someone’s else’s. The blood and explosion animations are literally the exact same.

Yeah, the blood is a bit too similar for my taste as well. I don't mind similarities in the gameplay, but some of the assets are (or at least look like) just 1-1 copies.

​@JosephJoestar-xu8fz reaver had the ricochet revolver a year before ultrakill did, and each revolver has like 4 separate abilities and theyre all a lot more crazy than the piercer's altfire. only thing that seems directly taken from ultrakill is core nukes, sliding and slams tbh

Honestly I'm not a fan. Almost everything about it just feels unrefined and imbalanced or shoehorned. I enjoy speed and freedom as much as the next guy, but if it doesn't fit into an interesting whole, it doesn't really matter. If this didn't look like Ultrakill (but worse), no one would care.

The movement looks pretty boring with no real advanced physics. Not having an arbitrary style system might help alleviate the "fake" freedom of choice with weapons that usually devolve into adhd meta slavery if you want optimal preformance. I wont expect mutch from this game.
