Sue let me be the one to say God is good- and never slumbers nor sleeps. Kidney failure has been prone in my family, I have buried aunts and uncles. I have witnessed successful and unsuccessful kidney transplants never knowing that I was to follow. I have been on dialysis for 5 years, I know all about dialysis. There were days I felt great and days I felt like a had death sentence. It was tough, blocked perm catheters, failed fistula attempts, you know the drill. I had operations like crazy. Last year my cousin shared his life with me, he gave me a healthy kidney. Life after transplant was hard, it took a while for the kidney to wake up, it was madness. I just want to say, don't miss a dialysis session for no good reason, keep looking after yourself and trust in the Lord, pray continually. God will set you free.While on dialysis, I've met patients coming back after transplant, a great nightmare, with so many unanswered questions, people who've lost reason to live. But despite all the pain, God never leaves, nor forsakes his children- it may seem like forever, but God has a plan. I shared sessions with people who have been on dialysis for 20+ years, with no one in their families to donate or be a match to them, my heart still goes out for them. I could spend forever writing about kidney failure, I mean people dying on the machine in my presence, argh.... May God heal you, may God heal us all
