The balakot strike and the period after that was way too intense for India and Pakistan, there were claims and counter claims made by both sides of downing aircrafts. Anyway it was a nail-biting situation for the whole country who were staring at an escalation to a war. It was an intense period. Our airmen and women have done us proud

Do you know who did not do us proud? Our people. They lost the appetite for a fight the minute our pilot got captured by Pakistanis. Suddenly, everyone wanted peace. Everyone forgot the attack on the convoy that triggered the entire crisis. Thank god most people did not have internet in 1999 or the internet generation of civilians would have demanded for peace even if it meant that we lost Kargil, Drass, etc to the Pakistanis. The way Indian public conducts itself is shameful. Indian Armed Forces deserve better, unwavering support.

We expected that Pakistan will be stuck to its stubbornnes.. and thus we as Indians were getting ready for a war.. Who knew for how long the war would continue.. My father knew war drills as he is a retired Army man, and he started guiding us about war situations and precautions.. I was born in 2001 so ofc I had never seen a war situation..

#Rebecca, Republic day is on Jan 26. That is the day the President of India accepts salute from the military (hell march). That day commemorates the date on which the Constitution of India came into effect. Don't be tensed, no Indian fighters were lost. This film actually gives some credit to Pakistan. In reality, they never knew what struck them. India successfully destroyed the terrorist training camp. While Indian jets were returning they wanted to chase them but found out a huge number of heavy weight jets, the big boys of Indian Air Force (IAF) are actually waiting for them and they had to turn away. They did a sortie the next morning and lost an F16 twin seater against an old Indian jet that India has already started phasing away. Unfortunately, the Indian jet also took a beating and was downed, but the pilot survived. He landed in Pak territory and was captured. In response India turned the face of nuclear missiles toward Pakistan and sent out a flotilla fully armed with nuclear missiles including nuclear tipped Brahmos, led by the aircraft carrier, INS Vikramaditya. And guess what, Pakistan released the Indian pilot.
