My mom makes this white cake in an 8x11 pan. After you bake it, you poke holes in it with a fork while it's still warm. Pour your red jello mix over the top ( while it's liquid). Then you chill it in the fridge for an hour. Spread your CoolWhip over the top and use blueberries for the stars and thinly,sliced strawberries for the stripes. So delicious and light. Looks pretty too ❤🤍 💙 Happy 4th,Patriots.

That's so nice! ❤ We don't have an independence day cake (on that day, it's traditional for us to eat fish instead) but we make a kind of similar celebratory cake for New Year's Eve, called "vasilopita". Love from Greece!

Hello Nikoletta 🙋🏻‍♀️ Thank you for saying hello and sharing your traditions from Greece. We don't eat cake on Independence Day as a tradition. That's just something that I did for my channel and for my family. One can decorate anything in red, white and blue and be celebrating our Independence Day. I think it's more traditional for us to have a barbecue/ cookout. 🍗 🌽 🥔 🍉 Then of course, fireworks display. 💥

If it's possible, could you also incorporate some more spoon sounds? I have never seen anyone use milk, butter, and sour cream in a cake. I had to go research it turns out dairy adds richer more moist texture to cake mixes. You can also use heavy cream. I wasn't sure what she used in the video but I'm gonna try it.

Milk and or sour cream in a cake never? 😮 Lots of cakes are made from scratch old school and it is necessary. Makes them floofy! Even yogurt. You can substitute variations if you run out of one thing or another. I love my cakes floofy. 😊🧏🏻‍♀️🇨🇦👍🏻🥴🍰🎂🥚Angel Food cake uses egg whites and are so good. 🤤
