Oh my gosh - I resonate with some of the qualities Rebekah in the bible has demonstrated, like trying to work out the plan, being impatient and trying to skip ahead. My Mam named me after reading this story aloud to her little sisters way back in 1988.

Wasn't it Abraham who lied about Sarah being his sister, not Issac about Rebekah?

They both did. It's weird how the sins of parents follow the children.

I enjoyed this story and thank you for teaching this. But I have problems with what you said about if you’re in an abusive relationship, do what you can to make it work. Sometimes living with an abusive spouse can be detrimental to ones health and could be dangerous. I want to know, would God want this type of marriage for his children? I was just confused on why you would encourage to stay in that type of situation when it’s not godly. I’m struggling with this myself. In a verbally abusive and mentally abusive marriage and it’s almost daily now and I’ve been admitted to the hospital twice due to stress. And I want to please God, but don’t know if we should separate or just stick this out. Thank you in advance for your answer to this.

Your situation is difficult. I would recommend separation. I don't ever recommend divorce unless there's unfaithfulness or the spouse abandons their spouse, then you can't do anything about it. God can work in him while separated. He can work in you also. God loves you and your spouse, but it's not God's will for your husband to act like that.

But she didn’t say if you’re in an abusive relationship , do what you can you can to make it work. 26:16 she said unless you are in an abusive relationship or your life is threatened .. otherwise do what you can to make your marriage work...

D Brown How are you doing now sis? And I agree with everything u said I have not listened to the entire message so I cant confirm the teacher mentioned this but if it was stated like that I agree no one should remain in an abusive relationship married or dating EDIT: I heard the teacher say : " Unless your in an abusive situation" so i didn't hear her say stay

A man is to lay his life for his wife's sanctification! Adultery is not just sex. Adultery is also breach of promise. Adultery of the promise. He broke his covenant w/you and Paul here avording yo hos opinion not God's command he said. This marriage is not binding. 1 Corinthians 7:15-16 15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart: a brother or a sister is not in subjection in such things: but God hath called us in peace. 16 For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thine husband? Or what knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?

Esau was born at the summer solstice and Jacob was born at the winter solstice. The mother rebecca/rebekah is a compound of two words. Re (sun) plus becca/bekah (Bacchus). There is a bekah valley in Lebanon where you will find a temple dedicated to Bachus aka becca/bekah. Nahor (snorter) is the horse in Sagittarius.
