That was one of the most beautiful and soulful things I've ever watched on youtube, your Being is exquisite . A friend of mine who teaches sound healing, gave me a shrudi box few days ago as a gift, and I am just starting to play with it now. I must say that there is something magical and mysterious about it, and feel that it's a beginning of a beautiful relationship. I've written poetry for years, yet this box feels like it will make love with my poetry, and take my words off of their dusty paper, and inspire them to dance.

Envoûtant mystique voyagant j'adore cela fait déjà plusieurs années que je suis tombé sur cette vidéo et j'ai écouté plusieurs de vos morceaux. Puis récemment j'ai eu de la nostalgie en re-découvrant vos vidéos !! Du coup je me suis acheté une shruti box et pleins d'instruments ethniques. J'ai pas pris de bodrhan mais un pondeiro de penaparda ( tambours carré dans une région d'Espagne ) par contre niveau coordination et rythme pour les instruments de percussion chui zéro 😅 du coup la pratique de votre bodrhan est super je suis impressioné !!! Merci pour ces partages qui donne beaucoup d'inspiration !!!!

I adore your music. I actually just bought a shruti box and drum a week ago. And now slowly start to loose my fear of using my voice and sing. That's a big inspiration now. Thank you so much. Ps. How do you call the way you play the drum with one stick, using both sides..? Love to learn that! Furthermore is there a specific name for the kind of music/singing you do?

Sorry for my late answer! Yay Soultree, that's a great news! Hope you'll find the best way to relax yourself. You found the best instruments for that ^^ About the technic with the bodhran, when you use both sides of your stick, it's the traditional technic, called "two-headed stick played" . I'm not sure there is a real name. www.ceolas.org/instruments/bodhran/styles.shtml If you use modern technics, it calls "Top-end style". You can find lot of demonstrations and free exercises on KZbin :) And about the kind of music/singing I do, in France, it calls "World Music"... Ok, it's very large and generic. But it mix traditions from every countries around the world you appreciate and with traditional and acoustic instruments. Meh. I can't say more. I hear a lot "Dead Can Dance" for example, celtic and nordic music... Maybe it helps to define it :D
