Something I found that synergieses quite well with the economist is foreign aid automatically completing projects. The downsides of foreign aid is high inflation and corruption, which is mitigated by the economist both through the economist's anti-inflation abilities you can use when money comes in. Also you tend to purchase fewer things in the run up to new funding.

Playing on mobile, brutal plays out a lot like mega brutal, yesterday I finally got the Mountain pass map done and had Saffron fields done a month ago, I tried Southern desert but I got absolutely destroyed by 5 different major concerns which I simply couldn't afford to finance

You MUST buy anti corruption or your support level is fucked. The media Office and strategic cummunications are vital, and then buy universal justice. You can get some civilian initiatives before that but once you have all that you should focus on telecoms, jobs or healthcare (look at what the region wants) and of course the military. Try to keep the insurgents from controlling 4 or more Connected zones (if not connected it doesn't matter as much). You should also buy drones to spot insurgent camps and Airstrike to destroy them and the combat boost. If you think about all this you're sure to win the game on casual. You shouldn't use the warlord because the national soldiers are little pests. Instead you can maybe use the banker and keep your cash above 20 (she then earns extra money, a lot).

At the beginning, stabilize the zone if you can at least in HQ to prevent that rapid reputation drops. PR office and Anti Corruption are must items to complete the game. Makes sure you wary about the enemy camp as it can spawn anywhere where the zone is unstable (mobile version at least) and keep looking for that "?" As it slowly become visible.

Super funny, I just beat this map on brutal finally, with the economist and picking up the national assistance and letting them have full access. as long as you get all tiers of anti corruption it should stay on top of itself in both inflammation and corruption. it helped me out quite a fair bit and I was able to focus more on the military side of things. even got 5 stars too at long last. my most hated character became my strongest character lol.

@@sirmant1651 huge tip to help you out, max out the highway or main roads, the mountain pass itself becomes traversible even for tanks at that point and helps to control both sides easier.

You get lots of insurgent activity, which destroys your reputation. Also the insurgent capability increases making them stronger, I learned the hard way

@@count487 no. Raising the minimum waige leads to an over all increase in the cost of everything. Ultimately leading to a decrease in value of whatever currency you are earning. The US used to be backed by Gold but it no longer is and look at how inflation has caused such a horrible decrease in the value of a US dollar.

Economist is by far my least favorite governor. Like, yearly money gain is hardly enough of an upside to justify the massive downsides the economist comes with. Maybe if the economist made jobs cheaper and less vulnerable to the hostile population, that'd be a legitemate reason to use the economist.

@@royearle1673 For me, economist is easy as shit. One of my pairings with the economist is the credit manager. Great incase of emergencies. Warlord however has a militia that while is cheap and easy to train, in a couple of turns just easily surpasses its cost while having massive corruption and abysmal support
