You are absolutely correct. The 'D-cut' will have blood effect squirts and every 'character' is gonna have one or two more lines. That said, Zack got me because I kinda need to see it😀 and it's on Netflix, so whatever. Ever since I started making 'videos,' I enjoy bad movies.

I can understand the logic behind the directors cuts. It's not so much to be able to add in more blood and a few lines of dialogue. The Snyder cut of Justice League certainly was not just some additional blood and dialogue, so I'm not sure where that stigma came from. But one reason for a pre cut is that many people simply don't have time to watch a 4 hour movie. It's something that the less hardcore fans can enjoy. But of course the full experience will be in a longer directors cut for those who want to be fully immersed in a 3 hour plus movie.

They have now started their own porduction company, 87North and mostly direct their own movies, like ''Bullet Train'' and the John Wick franchise or produce movies with other directors like ''Violent Night'' , with the guy who did the ''Dead Snow'' films. Stahelski is currently working on a ''Ghost of Tsushima'' movie and a Highlander remake with Cavill and Leitch just finished ''The Fall Guy'', with Ryan Gosling and will produce a movie starring the guy who played Short Round.

Another franchise Snyder ripped off is Warhammer 40K. His evil empire is literally called the "Imperium", the foot soldiers' armour and weapons look like the flak jackets and lasguns of the Imperial Guard (see 9:36), the officers are dressed like commissars, and the Anthony Hopkins robot says it was part of the "Mechanicus Militarum".

Don't forget the big pose with the imperial guard flag.... The movie setting has no freaking identity of its own, and it even failed at ripping off 40k as it forgot to be grimdark! I mean, the imperium offering a VERY reasonable offer to BUY grain for TRIPLE the price?!?! They would just say the emperor needs their help, and thank them for their devotion.

I think it's debatable which franchise got ripped off more, not sure it's 40K, although the 40K plagiarism passed under a lot of people's radars since it's less famous than Star Wars. The core of Rebel Moon's "story", if you can call it that, is basically A New Hope crossed with the Magnificent Seven (or Battle Beyond the Stars, which was a 1980 space opera that's basically Magnificent Seven in space). But a lot of the aesthetic and threadbare lore is definitely stolen from 40K.@@thatsretarded

It actually was really good. And a lot of the things that weren't fleshed out I have no qualms with because, much like a TV series, you are kept in the dark until later in the season. And this is indeed a multi part series, with not much wait before the next part. So kudos to the team behind Rebel Moon for releasing it in such a manner, and not giving away all the details in the first part. This movie did what it needed to do, and it's understandable that a longer directors cut will help fill in a few gaps, but the pre cut is meant for people who do not have time to watch a 3 hour plus movie.
