Even though I believe in a few "leftist" causes I tend to side with the right. It makes more sense if you put it this way. The political parties HAVE (but not really) swapped in a way. The left has become more left. the right has stayed traditional. The right does not approve of abortion as the left would nowadays. The left used to agree with the right with the right on many issues (including on issues such as pre -marital sex and abortion). That means the left has changed for "progress" unlike the republicans that have mostly stayed the same. I'm not going to say "progress" is bad; however I don't think radical leftist types have a better argument than the right. I also believe the right doesn't have that great an argument against "progress" either. I'm a "fence sitter" in a way. I don't particularly like either party but I lean to the right because that has worked for like... what 100-200 years? and now that WW3 is around the corner, women have start taking traditional roles? If you are as strong and independent as you claim then there won't be a single male casualty. The issue is that there will be male casualties. Most casualties will be be men and no one will care except men. F#cking clowns of individuals man.
