I'm so excited to get into this. I've been learning fine art from New Masters Academy and now I can apply what I've learned through such an amazing tool.

I'm having trouble figuring out the difference between volumes, and any other setting that I can change in the brush editor/creator. Is it simply that these are settings that have been deemed most likely for people who want to change them? Or are they settings you are most likely to want to set once and then use across multiple brushes?

Hello, the Volume Presets Panel is used for quicker change between brush sizes. While you might find it easier having the Brush Creator open and change it there, some prefer not to interfere with BC settings.

Can you simulate a painting lift? With real paint I could lay down a wash of color and quickly grab a tissue and brayer it down and pull it up and off and it would provide a nice value change along with subtle line and geographical shapes. How do I do this in r5?

I think that would be to use the sponge

your videos are very informative, however I do find the PIP of you very distracting. I am not criticizing your appearance or anything, please don't think that. Most people turn off their PIPs after the into. Can't watch anymore. Sorry.
