My dad was on this assignment..he was a driver in that mission..I remember one night he called us to tell us he will die tonight and we could hear bullets raining but by the grace of God he made it out alive ..only to lose his life on duty again peace keeping mission in Somalia 2014. Once a soldier always a soldier.. I will never be able to move on from his death .what hurts most is he died for a country that treats me like a second class citizen a country that won’t give my brothers and sisters national identity card ,I am singled out in a group coz I am somali ..a country that won’t give me a job or any opportunity to help myself!

I was in a Garrison primary school then in the year 2000 and I remember we had some classmates and schoolmates who's Dads were involved in that Sierra Leone Operation.I have never known what really happened,and am glad that Abel Mutua has narrated it 20 yrs later.Respect to Brig.
