Darth Vader destroys the Rebels command ship with ease almost if it has no shields. I know Darth Vader is the best pilot in Star Wars but, the Ghost gets hit a multitude of times and its 100% intact.

A Pelta-class, despite being slow and minimally armed, should not fall to anti-starfighter cannons that easily. I'm guessing some of the armor and shields were stripped from Phoenix Home and reapplied on the Ghost Edit: after rewatching this episode, it appears as if Phoenix Home's hyperdrive was incapacitated by the damage, although the ship was still able to stay afloat until Sato gave the order to abandon ship and scuttle it. Still, it would take several strafing runs from starfighter cannons to break frigate-grade shields and armor

This is annoying man, TIE's destroying corvettes in 3 hits, when corvettes are designed to anihilate entire squadrons of fighters. The worst thing is that the corvettes dosn't even shoot back. Nebulon-B Frigates get destroyed by 2 turbo laser hits, and the Ghost survives tons turbo laser hits in the whole series.

Corvettes and frigates serve as support ships TO COVER CAPITAL SHIPS aka TAKE DOWN A SHIT TON OF FIGHTERS. @@skybot7091 Technically they didn't surrender. They simply stated that, being an unarmed vessel, they had no right to shoot at them. Which is immediately nullified by the "kill on sight" policy of the escort. Had they not had an escort, the cruiser would've more than likely boarded and promptly arrested them, since they were indeed rebels. I'm not here to deny the evilness of the Empire, but you can't just cry when your actions turn out to have consequences.

Every battle's the same. Tie Fighters & Star Destroyers can't hit anything even when it's going in a straight line right in front of them and if they do get a random shot in they generally have sod all effect, especially on the Ghost. The Ghost, never seems to miss and seems to be more mobile than the small Tie Fighters it destroys with ease.

Vulture droids can perform much tighter and dangerous turns, but they lack the creativity of an organic pilot. But I'll admit, a computerized starfighter like the Vulture droid would be much cheaper and you don't have to waste valuable lives out in the field. Now, when I say that a droid fighter like the Vulture lacks creativity, I'm talking about deception (i.e. ambushes and sneak attacks). A computer is going to execute only a certain set of instructions, brutally crunching numbers and variables to achieve its objective in the shortest amount of time possible. Certainly, a computer can predict an enemy's intentions via the process of elimination; however, a computer cannot account and calculate for theoretical probabilities. An organic/living pilot - like us humans - are driven by a combination of logic and emotion; we can solve problems mathematically while also following our instincts at the same time to expect the unpredictable and respond accordingly to the best of our abilities (something a computer can't do). Thus, an organic pilot is going to balance both logic and emotion, wanting to catch the enemy off guard via outsmarting/fooling them. All warfare has deception in it, and while a computer can be able to account that mathematically and logically, it lacks the ability to weigh theoretical probabilities and act upon them. In simple words, a robotic starfighter doesn't perform risks and hunches very well.

In Disney Canon (Rebels and Battlefront 2 specifically) they use Gazanti cruisers wayyyy too much. Those are mass-produced civilian frigates, and retrofitting then for military combat is a waste of time for the Empire when they could just produce actual military freighters and frigates. Seeing Goazanti’s so much is annoying, especially how they’re used, it’s fine if it’s one or twice to deliver cargo, but carrying AT-AT’s out in the open or wasted resources to carry 4 TIE Fighters is just stupid...

You can't deny the fact that not all Rebel pilots were skilled Imperial defectors. There are pilots who were just ideals with doubted skills. But hey, compared to the Imperials, the Rebels are more pragmatic to select a pilot. Because they lacked enough manpower.

I always thought the A-wings in rebels weren't the A-wings we see in ROTJ. Instead I though of them as the R-22 Spearhead, the predecessor of the A-wing, but I think I'm wrong

Some engagements are nice but most of them are just ruined by plot armor. The best thing about this serie is the ships both from the Empire and the Alliance. The medium warships like frigates, corvettes, cruisers and small scale offensive operations are the things the series depicts the best. Also the destruction of most of the Alliance's ships at the end of season 3 is quite a severe and beautiful thing to see ;)

What we can observe here are two rarely seen imperial space vessels, the TIE Fatter and the Imperial Neckstretcher, variations of the TIE Fighter and the Imperial Star Destroyer. Those two special types of vessel were deployed in backwards regions because there the Empire didn't need to keep up appearances.

the point is, if you are not a main character or important to the story your ship's shield is either zero or negative, but if you are one, your ship's shield is equal to infinity and beyond

It's absolutely not. And basically . They build a first version with heavier hull, that was already faster than ties. .empire builds tie interceptor . Interceptor rekts any rebel ships in dogfight . Rebels revamp the A wing for it to be a special anti interceptor ship, and that's the version we see in SW 6. . If you remove plot armor every tie fighter design is better than rebel ships. Shields are mainly for swift jumps in hyperspace/ atmosphere entering. Look in star wars II and III how the shielded starfighters as the ARC-170 get absolutely destroyed in seconds. Shields are also for deflecting small debris. But you can survive like 2-6 more shots, which considering the rate of fire of laser cannons and the fact that once you're locked you're pretty much fucked, tie fighters are actually a smart design. No need for shields giving the sheer numbers.

In Star Wars The Clone Wars, even if the inconsistency in the ships was blatant, at least the battles seemed to be in real time. Here, the fights look like they have weak, low powered engines.

It feels like the writers forgot that star destroyers and imperial ship designs are incredibly fast, energy efficient, and tanky, the hull plating on those things should withstand most attacks to some degree. The instances in movies and books were they get destroyed by two or three shots are extremely rare. All stars wars ships are insanely advanced to the point of absurdity because there designs were made millions of years ago essentially (at least according to legends that recycled good imagery). That being said the rebel ships are larger, but adapted to military use. This is why the Falcon is the best ship in the fleet in the future, it is one of the large military vessels the rebel alliance had. At least the writers had the rebels pick off light cruisers most of the time.
