in terms of story you could say it's 3/10 story and like 7/10 translation, but somehow the story is still watchable although there is not much anticipation, just watching MC slapping arrogant people left and right is kinda funny and refreshing, MC seems like emotionless killing machine there are ladies but it doesn't go anywhere he just randomly drags people with him where ever he goes for no reason, just extra people to protect i guess. He doesn't have any emotional attachment to anything in the series.

you know most authors repeat, copy/paste/cookie cutter things in all wuxia/xinaxia/martial arts, type novels, and i hate it i mean some get it right some are actually super extremely funny, but most just repeat it over and over again to the point like this one it becomes overused, boring, forced, and becomes hated... here are a few examples of my most hated things in no order just as it comes into my thoughts.... peanut galleries(the whole, who does he think he is.. does he think he can win, trash like him really thinks he is something, he will be crushed in one move..) and some even spend an ENTIRE chapter on these peanut gallery type things... then there is the face slapping, some get it right others it becomes substandered and pointless... and one of my most hated if not the most hated is the ... "oh you can handle 10% of my power? well let me hit you hard then... oh you blocked? i was just warming up, let me show you how i defeat you... well now that i have warmed up, time to show my true power... what? you thought that was the extent of my power, o.k. you asked for it this is my ultmate power no one can resist... oh how can this be how can you block that, now i am mad let me show you my true form and let you cower in fear..." and fyi that is all the sam fight it is done in EVERY single novel, then when they get beat they say just wait i dont believe you can beat me you must be using some treasure... it is so over the top done and done so manytimes, it gets monotonous and exasperating..wish they would come out with new material....

@@MangaFullNo1 no you are mistaken what i said it is NOT the vids, it is the authors, as in i have read 100's of novels, andthat is what i am sick of...and also i still enjoy reading them and watching them it is just those are really my extreme hatred and pet peeves, so do not confuse the things i hate with tolerance... though i hate it i will tolerate it just to read the stories, because i am dying and have about ten years to live and bound to my bed and nothing other to do than read....

@@arcadianmystic i have few sugestions that might be slightly different then the average ones, 1: "i am the fated villain" and 2: " Master, this disciple is not the holy son" they have less then the typical stuff and more intelligent main characters, as an alternative you can watch something like "Beyond Myriad Peoples" it is more of a comedy but it is quite good and has it's moments. Hope this helps, if you have watched/read all of these then we are in the same boat (regarding reading entertainment) - it is hard to find new good stuff to read or watch.

Yea I'm not buying it. This merchant boy is able to snipe a running deer in the neck with a single shot. No way. He doesn't have the background to have that kind of skill. In fact very few people in the real world would be able to pull off that kind of shot with a bow and arrow. There's a reason hunters try to have a 1 shot 1 kill ratio.
