Reboot was the shit back in the day. I had no idea the creators made Beast Wars too that was perhaps even better!

One piece of incorrect information. Beast Wars did not delay the 4th season of ReBoot but instead it's 3rd season. The Season 2 Final in Canada was February 1st 1996 and Beast wars 1st episode was September 16th 1996. ReBoot Season 3 was delayed for a whole season because of the first season of beast wars, so ReBoot season 3 wouldn't primer until August 20th 1997. They were able to accomplish this by reducing the second and third Beast Wars season to 13 episodes instead of 26 episode like the first season. Just I would help out

ReBoot: The Guardian Code is indeed, a real thing that is happening. They've already ordered a 26-episode first season, and begun filming it recently as of this month. It's not as much of a "reboot" as it is a spinoff. There are new protagonists, and antagonists, but apparently Megabyte /will/ return. The preview image of Megabyte's new design and the synopsis is here www.cbc.ca/news/trending/reboot-of-reboot-officially-coming-to-tv-with-26-new-episodes-1.3104830

Ah, Reboot - a series that I have so many mixed feelings about. For one, even most of the general population can tell that these people knew very little about computers - I'll give them points for knowing how to count in binary, but that doesn't get them very far. But, that aside, the earlier episodes saw the entire cast with some of the most uncanny expressions. Trust me, the CG didn't age as well as you probably think it did. Even in the later seasons, they can look a little off... but not as much as the original episodes. I guess the changes to how the characters speak was a bit grating, and the "humor" was pretty weak, but then again I'm a grown adult, and I know full well that as a dumb kid I probably would have laughed, so I'll have to put my hands up on this point. I guess the last thing that I could nit-pick was most of the good guys have terrible VA's.... at least in season 1 and most of season 2. I mean, Megabyte's voice actor at least did a great job, and Hexadecimal's really seemed to be having a great time playing her character, and could really sell it. I don't really care for Daemon's French accent, but at least it's consistent and not too distracting. However, I think the show was ahead of its time, in other respects. I think that it has more potential in this day and age. The gaming crowd was certainly around back in 1994, but with the internet, it's virtually exploded. There are so many more gamers, all connected and sharing experiences. Now, more than ever, could a show based on video games have a pretty expansive list of topics to explore, and jokes to make. Besides, it beats flirting with older audiences while trying desperately to appeal to their target demographic for cartoons. I doubt most kids back then, much less these days, would get a reference to Evil Dead or the X-Files. I'll bet you there's a gold mine somewhere in there. Besides, with CG being so much better these days, and there are studios that have been doing CG for years, I bet the graphics wouldn't be too shabby either. Hell, most of the quality concerns for me come from me being spoiled by the high quality standards that everyone has for VA's these days, and animation in general. Hope they actually get that new series - could be the start of something pretty cool.

You don't know much yourself. The show was the first fully CG show. Nothing like ReBoot had been tried before and just getting the show made from a technical stand point was impressive. Maybe you look at the original king kong and say it looks shite and the makers obviously didn't know anything about animation because that's how stupid your argument is and if the starting point your argument is based on is flawed then so is everything else that followed.

I feel like you misunderstood what I was trying to say. Just because it's old doesn't excuse it - they are mistakes that we learned from. Do you see Season 1 Reboot expressions in media today? No - it's because we learned a valuable lesson from shows like this that had some pretty uncanny stuff going on. It's jsut I feel like a lot of people praise it for being "the first one to do something" but they forget that a lot of it was pretty shabby looking. But, I even conceded at the end that I am pretty spoiled because of the high standards that we have for are media today. Essentially, the tl:dr of my original post was intended to be more "Reboot was actually kind of bad, but has some potential and was tapping into a market that is currently very lucrative." Not, "Reboot is terrible and old and no one should watch it."
