I love that you and your grandmother spend time together and enjoy dolls together. This was fun. Thanks to both of you for taking us along.

Oh what joy I got to see outdoors in your area! I absolutely loved all the nature photos. Those sandhill cranes are gorgeous. I long ago learned if I am not wearing hightops or boots to carry an extra pair of socks with me, I also find soft washable wool socks help keep your toes warmer and drier if wet. But I doubt if you have 70s that you would need those often. Though wool is worn in very hot countries too. Oh what fun, I am also legally blind, I can't imagine what it is like to be colorblind though. I have ROP with vision, as well as other eye issues. I scare people who see me crafting so close to items, lol. Isn't it like us we want to do all the crafts. I can only crochet with patterns, because my mom taught me to do simple crochet when I was 6, and i had a neighbor teach me how to read patterns and kept helping me til i could do it and I learned knitting at age 12 in boarding school. Some books are just not well written, and even I can't figure them out. I buy vintage booklets and books at our nearby thriftstore some of those teach simple ways, often just 28¢ to 2$ each. Knitting doesn't need as much attention like crochet once you can do it. I have a blind friend in Germany who can really knit fast and she never drops stitches. I kinda miss her. About sewing, I self taught myself to sew, you have your grandma to teach you. Just learn how to sew straight seams until you can do it without needing to see close. Also think about if you need a fancy new computerized sewing machine or not, a cheaply made modern machine can really be a headache, I found out I do way better with pre 1960sewing machines they are all metal or mechanical sewing machines, often they are only 9-30$ at thrift stores. Ask your grandma advice, she will know the best thing for you. As you get use to it how to sew slow and such, your fingers will do most of the seeing for you. It is actually hard to sew your fingers, you hold your fabric at the side or away from the machine, you hit the machine with your hand long before you get to the needle. It is our brain scaring us. They also have these magnifying glass that hangs around your neck, that might help you. I still sometimes sew by hand because it is easier like Barbie clothes. Can't wait to see the names you both pick out. I think something old fashioned would be cool.

We had a great day! Yes the babies still need names. I think I may have found one for my little guy but my grandma hasn’t found anything she likes yet for her little one!
