Ok, make this make sense. They were in an SUV when a single dude wearing a mask and carrying a knife walks out in front of the vehicle. Did they, oh I don't know, drive away or hit him with the SUV? No. They decided to have the physically weakest and least able to fight person (her) and the blind man get out of the safety of the vehicle and run away from the knife wielding assailant on foot at night through what looks like an empty park. Is this the madlibs method of drama script writing or was there drugs or maybe a fever dream involved?

Update... Ok, the knife guy stabbed her in a way that probably would have killed anyone outside of drama land. Then he (I am guessing) said, "Ok, bored now." and casually walked away leaving the blind man without a hair out of place to somehow contact and direct emergency services to their location that he can't see.
