Chris making these repairs look "easy" is a glowing reference on how experienced he is and how much time he's spent on the tools. Not once has Chris even suggested for us mere mortals to attempt this at home. The bloke with the grievance has clearly attempted a similar job and took on more than he can chew, resulting in him lashing out and bringing down someone else because of his own incompetence. Keep doing what you are doing guys and don't let key board warriors question if you're bringing us quality content.....I can assure you that you are 👌🏼 Top blokes transforming salvage.....Great to see 😊👏🏼🔥

More like "wow that looks like a right ball ache" 🤣🤣🤣 But the reason I watch your videos is you can learn the correct way to do things & the satisfaction of watching you turn a write off into a decent motor, its obvious to anyone that it's incredibly hard work, time consuming & requires a lot of skill, great video.

Excellent work as ever. Chris makes anything look easy but that’s down to skill and many many years practice. What’s great is not only “ask Chris” but the fact he is on camera unlike the early days and explaining how and why he does what he does, will be helpful to someone out there. My sister is terrible for car maintenance and kept telling her about the sills pain flaking off behind the front wheels on her Fiat 500, she did nothing about it, it’s an old car and not worth a lot. So sanded down, primed, sanded, base coat and Clear all with rattle cans. Is it perfect… no but much better than leaving it exposed to rot and rust

The problem is the insurance assessment of the vehicle uses dealership repair costs. They will of priced the repair based on a new wing ,a new door a full A post replacement including removal of windscreen, and dealership Labour rates for paint. As you said it’s a scandal that cars with very little damage are classed as right offs.
@super6954
@super6954 Жыл бұрын
Exactly I look at damaged equipment estimates for machines to buy and fix like Rob and Chris do with cars. one machine was $19000 for a fuel tank that didn't really need replacing and $10000 for outside the dealership painting labor . I'd save 39000 right there and 2/3rds on dealership hourly rates, but the bigger problem is right now I can't buy the machines because wrecking yards are paying more than I can, because I can't sell the salvage machine for it's full market value of $200.000 after outbidding them and fixing it.

Chris - I am sure you never said it was easy (its not) - its just that you're an expert and have been doing it for many years. Its great to watch and see the results of what you've done. You could repair my car anytime!

Chris, very informative video. Glad you are coming to the forefront on these repairs, none of these repairs could be done without some knowledge and expertise (even basic) Yes you were lucky with this car but as your other videos - you win some and also lose some. Great video and hope in the future, you get many more.

I am not sure how anybody can think the work you do Chris, is easy work and I am sure you wouldn't say it is. You might make it look easy, but you are a very skilled professional.

Hi guys, nice easy one...ups i can't say easy otherwise i misguide some DIY Master. Chris, i watch you guys even before the Ferrari 360 videos. And i never heard you saying to any of us that that is a easy job that you can do at home, unless it was a easy job that you could do at home. I grew up in a car body repair shop and even today i do not recommend DIY unless you know what you doing very. Best to do with certain people is just smile and ignore. Wish you a quick recovery from the cold. Have a nicee weekend

Evening Rob & Chris. That was so admirable of you Chris apologising for a comment you got about it being easy…….🤔 Nothing you do is easy to ordinary guys but I think they must be forgetting how much experience you’ve gained over many years and then share this on KZbin is absolutely awesome 👏🏻 Great video and fix on the Audi 😀 Well done Rob & Chris 🤩

Nice one. Question I would have for Chris is a discussion on the pros and cons of applying rust preventative (of various types/chemical formulas such as acid or haematite) to bare metal prior to applying filler and primer, especially in moist air conditions. I remember respraying my old Vauxhall Chevette whose steel was so bad that you could see freshly sanded bare metal rusting straight away.
