It’s MOPAR. It’s cool. It’s a lot of work! But I was really hoping that was a classic MOPAR under that cover from the beginning! 🤘🏼🔧👍🏼💯🔥💨

Factory don’t clear the engine bay so you definitely went above and beyond awesome job
@ronaldmoparornocar9590
@ronaldmoparornocar9590 Жыл бұрын
That's a serious misconception the engine bays are definitely clear coated....I have been in the industry 35 years and I have not seen one engine bay from Mopar that's not clear coated......now for uses a matte black in their engine bays and GM did a satin clear coat up until the Early 2000 now they use a clear coat in engine bays......60 and 70s cars were single stage paint or a laquer. All engine bays have clear coat there are a few you tube videos of the production line paint process they are cool to watch.....not busting your balls just trying to get you the proper information my friend.

Wouldn't clear coat firewall that's covered up. Job looks good for a first timer. Probably go with a tip requiring less air so I didn't wear all the clear as much. But maybe that's required for this clear.

Jon don't you start slacking on your work ethic and perfection standards....yes it's tedious and sometimes dirty and gritty but it has to be done.you are not a half asser! And I have a saying that I tell young adults...if you don't have or want to take the time to do it right the first time where are you going to find the time to do it over?.......that "fad" of the patina look where the cear coat over old damaged rusty bodies.....it came from being lazy and cheap........ from gen Z and the millennials. I know I probably sound like a Dick but if you can't do it correctly then don't start the project till you can...see them on the auction block and so few of them sell for good money because they are not a done car......you want hellcat money? Do hellcat quality and weather you like it or not it always falls back on you and your reputation.... I have seen a lot of guy's that have bad reputations because they take short cuts......you want 100% of a sale price do 100% of a quality job ..... don't loose your standards Jon i know sometimes it is frustrating........at the end is all the reward and justification for your time and effort....if it were me i would get the car together and sand it completely blend in all your repair spots and re-clear the whole car...but that's me.....wet sand and buff it and make it shine like a grave diggers ass in the midnight moon light👌👍✌️
