Hello, this kind of videos inspire people to do things by their own. Even when Land Rover is not a popular car in my country, it’s one of the most amazing cars ever made. Greetings from Peru!!

Great skills, well done. We love fixing bits on our landies. Such a great feeling when you fix a problem by yourself.

A bit late now for this, but I'd definitely recommend a ultrasonic cleaner. Got a cheap Amazon one for cleaning carbs but used it for loads of other bits now

I was thinking the same thing, was going to get to refurbish my diesel injectors but once I disassembled them it would have been surplus to requirement. I great device from what I read up and they are telatively cheap on amazon.

You are brave, I think I'd have got a breakers yard super sub to strip to see whats what but I really liked the mixing bowl for the cleaning... and my final observation, the word you were looking for, was "minging" :) Good job!

Found you on IG first. Now YT. I’ve got a 1960 Series II. Doing the carb now. What a pain!

I had a 1970 Series 3 to rebuild, but never touched the carb, most was bodywork.

Urgh feel your pain my nova tank does exactly the same, well almost as bad but It now had 3x fuel filters on it 😂 2 bowl type and one inline and its about as good as its gonna get, I have a secondhand tank to go on but it needs epoxy sealing as it had a pinhole which I didn't see untill I'd already bought it lol oops! All part of the fun I guess lol I rebuilt my pierburg 1B carb with a gasket kit and the Haynes manual lol I'd never ever done a car carb before, I felt confident thinking they'd be like bike carbs as I've done loads of them but nope!
