I love your work. Not always my taste but that is what a Defender is, you can make it as you like and enjoy it. There is so much you can do to customise your Defender and that is what I like, no Defender is the same.

Very sharp. The wheels and tires are great, and the arches look good. You’ve saved a vehicle from going to the junk yard, and built it into a very capable utility vehicle that you can drive daily. Love it
@Mothership1104 жыл бұрын
Castor correction radius and trailer arms would be a good idea, and prop spacer, rool bar extension and larger bump stops. Dont forget to adjust your 'lock to lock' hub bolts, otherwise you'll reck your tyres on the radius arms

I’m loving your new workshop, it’s so much brighter & we can see much more detail, I was nearly going to ask if you’d got a new camera, the wheels, lift & those wide tyres make the landy look way more aggressive, I can’t wait to see all the front end upgrades you’ve got planned, great work again 👍

G'Day. I only have 3 things to say. 1) Please look after your back. I didn't and was medically discharged from the army with a prolapsed disk by doing something similar, lifting to heavy an Item up off the ground and on to a Unimog tray. Lower the lift to an easier position to put the wheels on yeah. 2)WOW, mate, the workshop...AMAZING. You now have plenty of room and builds should be really enjoyable now. 3)Britparts........yeah nar... the less said about them the better. Mate you will soon learn that one is best served by staying well away from Britparts as much as humanly possible. Very few and far between are the "parts" fit for service from Britpart, more so with any part having a rubber component too it. Other than that, looking good. Thanks

I had shitpart 2inch lift. First MOT after fitting the MOT man failed it as one rear spring had a bow in. Old man Emu or standard springs since.

Hey 👋 thanks for the thoughts and comments 😁 as a Defender specialist, there are many items from Birtpart that get a bad wrap, and for good reason. I know what parts are unusable and what parts are good to use, personally I’ve never experienced bad reviews from their suspension but have when using Terrafirma etc. The workshop is much bigger now!! So you should see some very cool cars start to roll off the production line 😁 notes about my back, I’ll make sure to take care 🙏🏻 Best

Hi Sam, I can see where this is going and I think a good mod that will benefit this build will be fitting the "Mud Shields" from Gwynlewis4x4 , and I'd like to see what they look like 🤔 I've decided to go with standard lift with Fox shocks, Eibach springs and tubular turrets. Getting there and I'm going for Buzzweld as well.

Loving this build! Would love to own a defender. My Grandad owns a defender 90 that be bought from Severn Trent before he retired from them and it's still running strong. He's also got a 1992 3 door Disco that is going strong too. The other day he told me he needs to sort the rear sliding windows as they are rattling around just like on this 90. Told him I'd show him the video when you get round to sorting 😉

I suggest the wheels be balanced using the stick-on weights inside the rim. They look much better and are a lot less likely to be dislodged during off-roading. They can also be painted to match the wheels.

Great progress on the build . What are you ding about the gap between the inner front arch and the wheel arch ? It'll fill up with mud , road dirt and water thrown up by the tyres and will cause premature rot , which we know these vehicles suffer with .

@juicemotors4 жыл бұрын
Think I’ll adopt a different tactic next time 😅 I’ve lowered the lift before but I find my back is at more risk as I’m bent over trying to lift etc. Think I’ll grab another person to assist
@Martyntd54 жыл бұрын
I'm not a fan of those arches to be honest and I think the wheels are a little big with too much offset for a daily driver. At least for my tastes.
@juicemotors4 жыл бұрын
Martyntd5 no problem Martyn! I think it looks great! The world would be boring if we all had the same opinions 😁 thanks for watching! 🤙🏻
@Martyntd54 жыл бұрын
@@juicemotors Yeah, I agree. I think it's the body-colour of the arches which looks odd to me. I've got a 90 in exactly the same colour - is it Epsom green? ...and it does have matching arches - I think that was standard on the county models? Anyway, with big boots I think I just prefer the look of contrasting black arches. It's all a matter of taste. Loving the yellow shocks and springs though. :)
