finishing this thing is a beautiful nightmare that never ends. the building started in 1248 so that it's basically the oldest construction site in the world with 776 years and counting! technically, it was finished in 1880 so that took over 600 years in the first place. but there's constant repairs going on. i live near this and get to see it once a week. it never gets old

Why would he make such a facinating project just 4:30 worth of video
@JayCWhiteCloud13 күн бұрын
@@xndr_mrw Frankly...I think he does these videos just because this is what "his generation" does sometimes but this is not "who he is" nor does it interest him that much...at least not yet (?)...I've been in the traditional arts and the restoration of them since the 60s...I still don't have a cell phone...don't want one either...and taking pictures/videos always seemed rather narcissistic, arrogant and more of a distraction from doing "the craft." The medium is the only testament to be left behind, and this young man's work will be here for centuries...but I do agree, documenting the process of these methods, now that we can do it so well should be done more often than it is but sadly "too many" aren't worth watching...He is certainly the exception!!!
