Rebuilding A Wrecked 2016 Yamaha R1M!!!

Yamaha! A bike I always thought looked so cool and every time I saw one they sounded soo good! Finally we have one in the garage to build now!! I really like how every bike I've picked up so far as so many different characteristics! I'm so ready to start on this R1! As always she will turn out to be a beast! The FUN has just begun! Wow that Wrecking yard is amazing. Probably a good thing a don’t have one near me I think I would spend way too much time and money there. So satisfying seeing the stickers being peeled off the tank. Definitely very repairable. Hope there isn’t too much damage elsewhere.

Iv rebuild salvage vehicles in the past, but never done a motorcycle. I ride a GSXR 600 right now and trying to get my hands on a 1000cc off the auction but there's hardly any motorcycles in my area so seeing the 50+ bikes at the yard is a dream...love your content, keep it up

What is the difference between an r1 and an r1m ?

@@FransvandenBergeMuziekschuur So from the best of my knowledge, the R1M has full polished aluminum tank and swing arm, magnesium wheels and magnesium subframe, (Lots of weight reduction) Fully electronic Ohlin's top of the line suspension, full carbon fiber fairings, probably some other features I'm unaware about. But I don't think the regular R1 is equipped with any of those features.

So cool, i wish i own a motorcycle, here in our country avg people own 200-250 cc here, but seeing all those bikes that is crazy, most of them are superbikes, i never seen that many superbikes... Nice video, hope someday your channel blew up.... DAmn i wish i own a motorcycle...sometimes it hurts seeing all my classmates climbing on their bikes after school, yet i have to walk more than 8kms to go home in hilly areas.. but sometimes it's cool to walk and saw all those nice motorcycles people own here, just looking it made me feel happy... yesterday i had a chance to see KTM 390 duke... that is just so cool... never seen that bike so close....while i was walking... CP4 yamaha puts in these is possibly the best sounding engine in all of motorcycling. I have a relatively new '21 mt09, found a screaming deal on a '18 mt10 with 1100mi two weekends ago. While being appalled by the gas mileage I still gonna keep the mt-10.👍

You can definitely get the key out and get a copy made since the important part is in the barrel. I don’t believe the keys are chipped but I might be wrong. Your gonna need 2 skinny flat head screw drivers. You gotta try to push both screw drivers onto the side of the key and try to lift it. It’s gonna be baby steps till you get enough to grab it out with a needle nose but can be done. I did that on a wrecked bike and was super happy I got the key out of the ignition. Good luck 👍🏻

@@CJMediaOfficial also you need to get the updated cam chain tensioner for you s1000rr. They have a updated part that came out a couple months ago. The old one has a spring which can fail and cause damage. The new one is hydraulic with no spring. I actually just made a video about it but definitely get it done once the throttle is fixed

I was a little afraid of this one since I've heard alot of nightmares when it comes to "mechanical" damage so I'm excited to see what you find.

About the key. No eay your going to turn on the key just by grabbing it with som pliers. In dact, if you don't have any originall key in good condition you might have to change the whole electronic unit or remaping it so it don't need to verifiy the electrical signal of the key
