You guys need to invest in the X large clear painters covers (the ones you put on the floor, over furniture ect.. when you are painting in a house) to cover up your cars. You can literally roll the dust right up in the cover and toss it. They are super cheap. Those and rolls of duct tape, cheap, easy, effective, disposable car covers.

Right on Guys a parts car is the way to go! It's cool to see the TRX back. I think it would be better to get the truck working right like the 4 wheel drive issues, the windshield and whatever else that's not quite right before jumping into the 1000 HP world but that's just me! Keep up the great content!

The rear crash bar is hooked to the frame rails, so the stronger the crash bar is the more damage it would cause to the frame rails during a collision. So they make the crash bars so that they flex/give so that most regular types of collisions won't cause that much damage. When you have a stronger crash bar all the energy from a collision goes straight into the frame rails causing damage to them. When you have weak frame rails like those thin aluminum ones in that Vette, then it really doesn't matter how strong the crash bar is, those rails are going to give no matter what.

Hey guys I rebuild a lot of Corvettes over in Paris TN at Custom Auto Body. Check with Striker Auto up in Bativa Ohio. They have rear clip frame sections for 1200. They can even ship them to you. It will be the complete rear frame clip. Also these c8's bring stupid money at auction. Car your bidding on will probably go for high 20s to mid 30s. Striker will have the rear frame section you need. The parts car would be a waste since the tub and rockers are almost impossible to get off without damage. Will need structural rivets and structural panel bond for the frame sections.

If you still get the parts car or go the route in Ohio you will still need to get the rocker panels just because even trying to take them off the new parts car will be destroyed just like the ones you took off this car.

exhaust: middle 2 valves are AFM that control v8 to v4 switching. outer 2 valves are specific to factory performance exhaust, which control tips closing/opening for volume

That rear bumper beam is strong and lightweight CARBON FIBER. One of the few spots the C8 has some exotic material using a revolutionary manufacturing technique to form it.

Well if you’re dropping the subframe and engine might as well supercharge it! Best for the platform IMO, turbo’s can get more power, but the supercharger is there in the low end and with a good Gen6 setup you can get 25PSI which is MORE than enough these days.

Hopefully there’s some beefy axles that come with the 1000hp upgrade. Cletus’s setup seems to work pretty good on the track. Trx would look good with the hood painted white. Still would keep that tough truck look. The all white would look fantastic but would look more fancy then tough. If you get that parts car hopefully you can sell all the pieces you have leftover from building one or else it’s probably financially better to just buy a nice one. Rob Dahm had his car repaired from a certified shop bc his damage was in the front and same thing the parts weren’t available to the general public. At that time his was the first wrecked C8 to hit any type of auction blocks.

The valves on the exauhst is called a Bi model exauhst, basically the flaps open on heavy to full throttle for more power and noise and closes when driving threw town so it's quiet.

Anyone else noticed the R8’s tyres not fitted correctly at 15:36, need to fit those Toyo r888 correct on the rear, maybe this is why you’re having handling issues

Saw that too and since it's no regular car the wrong fitment of asymmetrical tyres might cause a lot of issues with the handling

The set of valves in question (the ones closest to the motor/ furthest upstream) are the AFM valves (Active Fuel Management valves) and close partially when the motor is in V4 mode for increased backpressure so the motor works better/ more efficiently when half of the cylinders are disabled. 6th Gen automatic Camaro's have that same AFM valve further upstream from the mufflers too. Manual camaros dont have them, they have "skip shift" instead. Its all EPA pleasing technology. The set of valves furthest downstream/ closest to the actual mufflers is for the dual mode exhaust portion obviously. Not sure if they still call it the "NPP" option on C8's but thats what they call it on older Corvettes and newer Camaro's.

I can fix all that fiberglass. I've been working for Jarrett Bay boat works for 9 years now and that's easy work. Y'all can fix it too. Patch from behind and fill the damage. Sand down and mud it to prime condition. Paint and done.
