Its impressive that you can make what looks like scrap metal (to the untrained eye) into a whole new front tub for your repair. T- rex was there making sure you weren't going to burn the place down at 2:16 :-)

One man’s scrap metal is another man’s front tub!😉 Thank you for watching and I’m going have start hiding the T-Rex better… you’re too good at finding him.

Hi, I just discovered your channel and I’m amazed by the kind of work you do! Can I ask how do you found the parts, especially the front? Do you call junkyards and they cut it for you or you use a website? Looking forward to learn a lot from your videos!
@RebuildRex2 жыл бұрын
Welcome! So on this car the customer sourced the parts from a junkyard. I have had good luck finding used parts on car-part.com They give contact info for yards with parts and list them by miles from the zip code you put in the search. The site also gives price of part and usually a description on condition. Hope this helps and Thanks for watching!!

When you “take measurements” on a car, are you just measuring left v right, diagonals, etc. Or is there something published from Porsche that tells you what the correct measurements are? Thanks.
@RebuildRex2 жыл бұрын
We have measurements sheets that tell us the exact dimensions on the cars we are pulling. So we use those sheets to measure everything. Thanks for watching!
@jm32802 жыл бұрын
Oh, thanks for the info. I couldn’t find anything online. Are those measurement sheets published by Porsche or a third party company? Where can I get them?
@RebuildRex2 жыл бұрын
Chief (the frame machine we use) is who publishes the measurements that we use.
