Gen 2 rods can handle 300hp +....Fyi don't reuse the oem bolts on the rod ends for the bearings. Grab a 50cc moped instead of a pit bike, might need to make a beer or parts run😁

The last time I bought coolant additive I think it was from VP called madditive cool down. The spelling is correct. I am looking at the empty bottle now

Question: Have an 08 zx14. Was riding bike and hear loud chain chattering noise while bike loses power as I turn the throttle. Replaced cam chain tensioner but that didn't fix issue. Wanted to know if you could point me in the right direction of where to look before I take my motor off and rebuild it

I would definitely check your cam chain and see if its stretched.

@DRK KNT RACING I was looking at ur gen 2 cam swap video and was trying to figure out what did u remove because the manual says to remove throttle body buts urs look to still be attached. Just don't want to do unnecessary steps if u do it a better way

You aren’t doing rod bearings are so cheap you’re going to kick yourself if you start to get a knack later on I mean when you’re taking apart an engine and if you did want to skip things a lot of guys buy new pistons if they’re not slapping on the skirt or if they aren’t wearing you could reuse pistons, even though you change the rings but parts that where specifically should be changed like if you have a bear on your cam and the bearings and the connecting rods are designed to where I think of it like a brake job he might not need rotors. Are you taking things apart? You do always do the pads.
